Any ideas please on where to buy a large leather handbag suitable for a working professional lady, to carry lots of stuff and still look smart.

Empty handbags are too heavy. Why don’t shops include their weight in the description.

I realise you've already made your purchase, but in case anyone else is looking TK Maxx have some amazing bargains. A couple of weeks ago I bought a beautiful Paul Costello bag, RRP £225, I paid £49.00!

I have two Mulberry Tessie Tote bags, one cream, one black. I have had them both for several years, with no signs of wear, other than that they’ve become lovely and softly worn. I don’t think Mulberry does the Tessie any more, but I think they sell other shopper bags. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. I’d also be quite happy to buy on eBay if one was available in the right colour and condition.

I have an Osprey one that I got for a great price from TK Maxx. Its big enough to use as my laptop bag when I'm travelling with work and also fits in my purse, phone, notebook etc

Radley virtual store online

Just bought one from a Radley outlet shop. There are a few, but the one in Portsmouth had a more than half price sale this week. Several sizes that would take a laptop and all the stuff you would need. Being retired I went for the "I always need just a bit more space " size. You just have to be sure that the handle fit your needs - I am not a fan of the short handle/separate should strap type but mine fits on my shoulder and under my arm. But the last one I bought was unnamed and came from my Spanish holiday.

I won’t have anything but Long & Co. of London handbags. A range with masses of colours, lightweight and good zip at the top, Great for travelling as SO safe.

I too bought a Paul Costello bag from TKMaxx for silly money some years ago. I would recommend Visconti bags available on line and there are some shops that stock them. I had a Rowallan bag that had seen better days so I treated it to some leather restorer which made a big difference in appearanc.

Just been on Vinted - saw a gorgeous couple of new leather bags and backpacks. Good makes and prices too.

Well to Oreo and Crosstitchfan that wasn’t very friendly.
I was hoping that I would find just what I got here advice and recommendations of bagmakers and sellers from those who have experience, not having to trawl the internet.
It is rather nice to share these things for some of us.

Have a look at Lakeland Leather at lakelandleather.co.uk. Beautiful leather bags at reasonable prices.
