What makeup to get wife?

It's my wife's birthday next week; she turns 68. I want to get her some new makeup and she doesn't know. I don't want to be obvious. She loves blue and wants to feel young again. Any recommendations?

Could this be something we would enjoy Monica!

I love spas, the ones based on water, pools and jacuzzi etc and I do have my brows tinted and shaped, and electrolysis, but I dislike massage. I have had it 2 or 3 times as part of a spa day, but I really did not enjoy it and I am not sure about make-up packages.

My first visit to a spa was in the every early days of GN, when I won a Mother and Daughter spa package. We went to a wonderful spa near Newark. We have been back many times since - and to others, but nothing has beaten the first one we visited.

Please give your wife some money to buy her own make up.

Or if you must buy it, ask your wife what type/brand of make up products she would like you to buy for her.

DO NOT buy it without asking her please.

That's such a lovely memory Monica. I used to enjoy a weekend away at a Spa but not so much now that I'm not working.

I love to be shown what makeup can do but would definitely want to "reserve my right" to make my own choices. However, my family know what skincare I use (and perfume) so some of those come as presents.

Thank you for the recommendations, everyone. I got her a voucher at a local beauty salon. She loved it! smile

How about a voucher for a makeover and buying recommended products at a beauty counter or in a salon. Look online for ideas

I would get her a voucher. You can’t take the make up back once bought.
What about a makeover voucher?

Why not buy her some lovely hand cream? Buying her make up might be seen as an insult!

I’d feel very disappointed if I was bought hand cream, lovely or not.

Almost no men wear make up. I don't know why as women we decide that we don't look good enough without it. I am who I am. If someone doesn't like the way I look or who I am, they don't have to look at me or hang around. Seriously.
