Is it just me.... I see the latest trend of leopard print and other animal print everywhere, and I hate it. It just looks cheap and tacky unless it is on an actual animal. Maybe one item, but most I see are dressed head to foot in it. Does anyone know how to make it look classy and sophisticated or am I missing the point?

I don't know how to make it classy either, I hate leopard print

I think head to toe leopard is too much but maybe as an accent, such as a bag or shoes could work.

I also dislike animal prints. I think that an OTT use of this and the designer handbags with brassy chains looks rather tacky.

You'd all hate me then - I love a bit of leopard print! Classy or not, I could not care less. I like it and don't care what anyone else thinks. Currently sitting here in my leopard print dressing gown! grin

Hate it . Always associate it with Bet Lynch .

Bukkie Tue 17-Mar-26 18:48:03

I absolutely hate all animal print and am baffled why it is so popular. Each to their own I suppose.

merlotgran Tue 17-Mar-26 18:49:23

I just think of Bet Lynch in Corrie whenever anyone mentions leopard print.

Bukkie Tue 17-Mar-26 18:49:49

JamesandJon. I totally agree, I always refer to someone looking like Bet Lynch when they have leopard print on.

Gran22boys Tue 17-Mar-26 18:53:27

It makes people look common. It’s tasteless.

Treebee Tue 17-Mar-26 19:03:26

I must say it suits some people, but not me.

Lucyloo12 Tue 17-Mar-26 19:03:27

Not just me then.... phew!!

MissChateline Tue 17-Mar-26 19:20:03

Oh dear, this morning I bought a leopard print swim suit from a very nice department store in Halifax. (With excellent tummy control panels) I think it looks great, definitely not common and certainly doesn’t remind me of Bet Lynch!

CanadianGran Tue 17-Mar-26 19:28:21

Although I don't have any leopard print items, I do think it looks nice on some people, but not head-to-toe.

Kate1949 Tue 17-Mar-26 19:28:41

I love it!

silverlining48 Tue 17-Mar-26 19:29:55

Not a fan

Lovetopaint037 Tue 17-Mar-26 19:32:46

I agree. Can’t stand it. The word “tarty”comes to mind. My .friend loves it. She knows I don’t like it and she can’t understand it. When she adds black tights I think “Oh! No.

I love it!

Me too Kate1949, I just love wearing tan, black and ivory together, if the lion is king, the leopard is queen!

Good for you! Who actually really cares about what others wear?

I have an eclectic wardrobe, none of its terribly “classy”, some is just outrageous, clashing patterns and materials, some plain and boring, but it’s all my choice and nowadays comfy! I couldn’t give a fig if no one else likes how I look or how I dress!

That's pretty much my attitude too these days - who cares? If I'm not wearing leopard print, I'm usually in band merch t-shirts or hoodies!

No. ‘Bet Lynch’ comes to mind ha

Each to his own!
Some people can ooze class and dignity with very little effort and others will never be able to carry it off whatever they choose to wear or whatever the price of the garment either.
