Basically that really, I wear perfume every single day whether I’m out to shops or just pottering about at home,

La Nuit Trésor Eau de Parfum - by Lancome it seems to be one of the every few that stays the course all day

Lupatria Tue 22-Sept-26 14:24:26

i have several perfumes i class as my favourites.
opium, obsession, ysatis, chanel no 5, rive gauche and organza.
weekend perfume is chanel no 5 and I use the others for a week at a time.
this week it's opium, last week it was ysatis next week who knows!
but I don't feel dressed unless i'm wearing my perfume!!

Perfume and earrings every day for me.
All time favourite is Chanel No 5, closely followed by YSL Paris and Givenchy Amarige. .. I always have those three.
Currently for general wear it’s Roger et Gallet Fleur de Figuier because I can’t get hold of Fragonard’s Figuier de Fleur (discontinued I think).

The last perfume I bought for myself was 2 years ago in New Zealand when I was staying with my DS and family.
It was in a ‘bargain’ type store and there it was, Red Door , which I love, and at such a good price I bought 3.
One of the bottles is still in use.

I also get ‘cast offs ‘from my DD but was given Coco as a gift at Christmas too. The cast offs can be anything from Stella McCartney to Body Shop. I keep my Coco for special occasions and the odd day when I just wear it for the hell if it.
But I wear something every day.

Oh yes perfume and earrings every day. Never save for best. At my age every day could be my last😀

I don’t like bottled manufactured perfumes but I do buy fragrance oils. My faves are Nag Champa, Sandalwood, patchouli, Jasmine. I am just a old hippy really.

I wear perfume every day . My day to day one is Warmth by marks apothecary range . It’s a dupe of Le Labo Santal 33 and a very good one , although it’s not as long lasting . I get loads of compliments when I wear it. And friends with the original think it’s the real thing .
For going out its Jo Malone dark amber and ginger lily, and tuberose Angelica both are from the intense range in the dark bottles .
I also have an Oude perfume oil which I like but it can be a bit intense .

Cossy

My absolute favourite is Joy, by Dior.

My mums favourite but I thought it was by Jean Patou.

Caliche by Hermes.

I love perfume and wear it every day, but my 'favourite' changes frequently. I have so many bottles on the go at the moment I'm putting an embargo on buying any more. If money was unlimited I'd be using Odeon by Memo a lot, lot more, but unfortunately it's not grin
Ones I love include Chanel No5, Flowerbomb Extreme by Viktor and Rolf, L'Air du Temps, Daisy (the original one), and Oscar by Oscar de la Renta.
I used to love Anais Anais but after some years it changed how it smelled on me so I don't use it any more. I haven't seen Red Door for ages, that was one I liked back in the day.

Cerruti 1881, Estée Lauder private collection and Jimmy choo … some of M&S dupes are pretty good too.

Norah Tue 22-Sept-26 15:23:27

Chanel 5

Lolita Lempicka

Let me know if you find one, Yogi

Gucci Rush and Shalimar. I had a sample of one I loved - Sunset Hour by Goldfield and Banks. Unfortunately it’s Australian. Nearest place you can get it is Paris.

GrannyFirstLight Tue 22-Sept-26 15:49:47

Shalimar...for the past 56 years and into whatever years are left!

Essexgirl145 Tue 22-Sept-26 15:50:59

Red Door and Opium.

Westcoaster Tue 22-Sept-26 15:51:56

I don’t wear perfume much now, but I love Dune by Dior.

gillyknits Tue 22-Sept-26 15:54:20

I’ve been using Just Pink from Next for every day but love Reve by Van Cleef and Arpel for special occasions. Don’t think they make it any more.

Flippinheck Tue 22-Sept-26 15:56:41

Paradox by Prada has been my favourite since they released it a couple of years ago. Otherwise anything with a hit of vanilla.

Susie42 Tue 22-Sept-26 16:00:28

First by Van Cleef & Arpels and Miss Dior

Diplomat Tue 22-Sept-26 16:23:38

Aromatics Elixir and Chanel No.5 are favourites. Just discovered Pink Pepper from M&S which is very cheap but is really pleasant and has a lasting scent, so good for every day use. I also like Poison which is quite strong.

Estrellita Tue 22-Sept-26 16:40:31

I used to love Mystere by Rochas but sadly it is no longer available.

shoppinggirl Tue 22-Sept-26 16:53:17

My go to is Eternity Moment by Calvin Klein. It's my every day scent, light and floral and has been a favourite for years!

Sueki44 Tue 22-Sept-26 17:06:40

I’ve worn Chanel’s Allure for years . Used to have the matching body lotion and deodorant but they are discontinued now. Recently I’ve been tempted by Carolina Herrera’s Good Girl……

I use Chance Eau Tendre by Chanel and I love Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford for summer although it is rather expensive. My mother in her later years wore Miracle by Lancôme, a very close friend bought her a bottle one Christmas after she (my mother) had survived a tetanus infection that had her in intensive care for 3 months and hospital for 6 I think she thought it was providential! I kept the empty bottle when I was clearing out my parents house.
