For those of us who do not drink tea or wine could we have a food-related smiley please?
Sometimes something sweet is called for to sooth the nerves !

Oooh cupcakes! We're very much fans here at Gransnet.

What does everyone else think? Are they the most soothing of foods?

Yummy! I made cup cakes for 2 daughters' weddings and decorated them appropriately for each. (I also bought M&S iced fruit cakes and decorated them so they could have something to cut). Sooo much cheaper than forking out £500 for something most people leave on their plates! A cup cake smiley is a great idea. Could we also have a SCREAM smiley - I do a lot of that! grin

Well Gally I hope you have better luck than me ...I asked for a 'can't stop laughing' smiley ...but it seemed to fall on deaf ears ...Love you really JosieGNHQ ...coz we got a sports forum smile

Cup cake or a wedge of sponge cake.

Gally Wed 31-Aug-11 17:01:48

Baggy Can it be a wedge of Chocolate sponge cake?

Annobel Wed 31-Aug-11 17:58:14

Chocolate fudge brownies are even more soothing than cupcakes imho. However, they are infinitely more guilt-inducing.

shysal Wed 31-Aug-11 18:07:01

I totally agree about the chocolate cake or brownies, but thought a cup cake would make an easily identifiable symbol.

GoldenGran Wed 31-Aug-11 18:12:59

Bring on the cupcake smiley{grin}

yogagran Wed 31-Aug-11 19:01:22

Yes - great idea. Cupcake smiley would be lovely.
Still waiting for a "like" button too.....

Annobel Wed 31-Aug-11 20:00:28

Agreed shysal. It would be hard to make a chocolate brownie emoticon, but we can dream!

yogagran Wed 31-Aug-11 21:15:23

At least it's low calorie and won't pile of the pounds smile

Hi all,

Thanks for all the feedback - there seems to be a bit of a consensus about this (about CAKE? Who would have thought it? hmm), so we'll get Tech onto it right away.

shysal Thu 01-Sep-11 10:02:12

Thanks Josie, I shall look forward to using it.

glammanana Thu 01-Sep-11 10:22:00

Looking forward to the cupcake's girl's

yogagran Thu 01-Sep-11 12:12:02

Oooh delicious - can't wait. Lots of icing on the top please and pretty sprinkles

shysal Wed 28-Sep-11 09:09:44

I was hopeful that this was going to happen, but no sign yet - is it in the pipeline, tech?

JosieGransnet (GNHQ) Wed 28-Sep-11 09:27:59

We'll give Tech another prod about this now - sorry it's taken so long!

Good things (icing and cakes) come to those who wait...

Gally Wed 28-Sep-11 20:11:38

JosieGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 29-Sep-11 09:44:35

Gally, we're doing our very best - we'll let you know as soon as we have anything concrete.

shysal Thu 13-Oct-11 09:32:11

jinglej Thu 13-Oct-11 09:41:21

Gally - leave 'em alone. She'll crack up! What with one thing and another.

jinglej Thu 13-Oct-11 09:41:53

That's Jose. Not Widders.

GeraldineGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 13-Oct-11 09:46:46

Not Josie either, she's not the cracking up type smile

Gally Thu 13-Oct-11 09:47:11
