My phoneline is with BT [free calls] but broadband is AOL. Trying to reduce my monthly bills in an attempt to be able to retire one day so intending to do an Observer price comparison. For some reason I pay for AOL with my credit card, which costs me an extra £3 a month [I only realised this the other day when AOL phoned me]. AOL are supposed to be difficult to leave as they only contact you via Indian call centres, so I'm hoping that, if I do it through a price comparison site they will do all the negotiating for me. I do like the AOL site, though and don't know what happens with my email address; will I have to change it if I leave AOL? Annoyingly AOL phoned the other day when I was out and the S.O. answered the phone and told them to go away. Only found out when I told him if AOL phoned I needed to speak to them. Grrrr.
