ITV hub on Freesat.

It's a wireless connection to the router NanaMacG. I have no trouble at all with BBC iPlayer, Netflix, channels 4 and 5 etc., it's just ITV hub. I am waiting for a reply from their help desk. Until it is sorted out, I am recording The Durrells. Thanks for the reply.

Hi, I've checked again and see that your Humax receiver also connects to the internet so, although most of my previous post was true, instead of your tv connecting to the internet, the Humax receiver does that for you instead. I don't know if it connects wirelessly or via an ethernet cable to your router but if that connection isn't set up properly, you won't see ITV Hub. Of course, it could just be a fault on your Humax receiver and they will be able to sort out the problem for you. I hope so.

Hilda do you have an IPad ? I have downloaded the ITV Hub there and watch most of my programmes via this method. It suits me well. Best of luck.

I emailed them. They say I should be able to get 30 days of programming on catch-up with ITV hub. Currently I only get seven days. They are looking into it for me, but the weekend got in the way. I expect to here back shortly.

I was watching BBC and had set the freesat box to record The Durrells, a notice appeared on the screen saying there was a clash? I wasn't on the channel or recording something else. I think I have a wacky set top box!

I don't believe the ITV hub is provided through your Humax Freesat HD receiver (although things may have changed since I bought mine). The Humax receiver picks up 'TV signals' from a satellite and then processes them and stores programmes for up to 7 days so you can see them live or from the Humax hard drive. ITV hub is provided using an internet connection to your smart TV (or a TV made 'smart' using a streaming box such as a Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Chromecast etc). The smart TV has to have a connection to your broadband router, either wired or wireless. To access programmes streamed over the internet, look for a button labelled 'Source' on your remote control. Your Humax receiver is likely to be connected to one External HDMI input and the internet stream including the ITV Hub on another. You should also see BBC iPlayer on the same menu as the ITV Hub. The trouble is that technology moves on and maybe you are supposed to be able to see both Humax and ITV Hub on the same setting, so I am happy to be corrected but logically they are two different sources/technologies. Sorry, I can't help either. I have a normal Humax digital box, on which I record everything I want to watch. When I get my new Radio Times I go through it adding any new programmes for recording on the series link. This is useful when I nod off during my favourite programmes!

I wish I could help you but what I know about technology could leave room on a postage stamp. Why do you not go to a store that specialises in this equipment,armed with the instruction and a pen and paper and get them to tell you where you are going wrong. Once when I couldn't make head or tail of my timer I rang the manufacturers technical department and they were great.
