Refurbished laptops

Advice please. I have bought a netbook and a new lap top. I hate windows 10, hate it.

What I would love is a smaller lap top with Windows 7 but they are only available refurbished , wise or stupid to buy?

Absolutely anniebach. Open Office which is free and easily available Plus regular upgrades.

Open office is just one example of free open source software (just another name for an App) that is an excellent alternative to paid for products.For most users, Open Office will do everything that MS Office will do and works in a similar manner. For Photoshop users there is GIMP. if you really hare Windows there are free Unix based operating systems available.
AVG is a free Anti Virus product, Legacy for genealogy, Plus many more, all free and well supported.
