Going to treat myself to a Tablet (cant afford ipad) any recomendations?

I like Apple as my family and friends have them so it’s easy to connect I never buy new i get second hand reputable ones and had no problems at all
I used to have a kindle but sold it as I prefer iPad

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab A. 10.5 inch. Its excellent and I can recommend it .

I have a Samsung tablet and an Amazon Fire. Both equally as good as each other. I like the iPad but dont like the price.

Cant go wrong with a samsung.They last well if you take care of them.

Ohh lots to think about, I shall re read and do a bit of searching. Its about time I treat myself

Do any of you find the 16GB is enough or would you pay the extra and go for 32GB.

I don't play many games /puzzles on laptop as hard work, but think I would be more inclined with tablet.

Not sure which I have but Mr P ordered an SD card for it, which gives extra memory.

I've had 2 kindle fires and now have a cheap Fusion 5 which works well. My only issue with kindles is that you can only download Amazon approved apps which did mean that there were some I couldn't access

I have an Asus which I loved but its battery is clapped out and runs down after an hour or two on GN. Its replacement is a Samsung 8 inch Galaxy Tab A which is fast, the battery goes on for days and the screen quality is superb.

I would totally recommend the Amazon Fire, it is very simple to use and reliable.

Can you download whatsapp on Amazon fire ?

I seem to be reading conflicting reports.

Also do you have to buy the games from Amazon?

or can I download Google Play ?

I get the sponsored screensavers too.
They aren't annoying - they disappear as soon as you touch it.
I wouldn't let them put you off.

I'm going to check Google play and WhatsApp for you.

I’ve got an AmazonFire and iPad. I much prefer the iPad to be honest. I bought my husband a Samsung Galaxy tablet and he likes it.

We have 3 re-conned iPads. Excellent value, not a mark on them. Plus, if you have a problem you can go to their shops where the staff are brilliant. I've used other tablets but I find them slow.

You can't use Google play only Amazon apps and no WhatsApp as only able to use it if you have a sim card

Thanks to all on info about Whatsapp and google play, will take another look around. I prob wouldn't use whatsapp on the tablet but would use google play store.

I have WhatsApp linked to my phone on my Samsung tablet.

I've had both Samsung tablets and an ipad and much prefer the Samsungs. What phone do you have?. If you have an iPhone then an ipad makes sense, if a Samsung phone then get a Samsung tablet. They can be linked together. I second Music Magpie for refurb tech.

I’m a confirmed Apple user and over the years have had both an iPad and iPad mini. I much prefer the mini for ease of use/handling-bigger tablets can be a bit awkward sometimes depending where you’re using them. To tell the truth, I seldom use a tablet as my phone does everything including Zoom. Kindle, etc.

Have a Huawei phone which Im quite happy with, there is Huawei tablet with pretty good reviews and more in my price range. Going away to have a good think.
