...why I have agreed to go to Gothenburg in February? 
It came about very suddenly yesterday. DD, with her usual "I want to go somewhere - anywhere " hat on, was searching the internet for cheap flights (we are going to Rome in April so we can't justify going anywhere too expensive, and anyway, it's all a bit last minute 
Looking on Accuweather the temperature is likely to be minus 6 if I'm lucky, and there could well be ice and snow.
Can someone who has been there please tell me it's a beautiful city, and I will love it. Please.

That's the way to go Jingl. When my daughter was working in Turkey I flew out to Istabul at Easter to see her. It was snowing and very cold the whole time I was there.
BUT they too had cafes there that just serve coffee and cakes

Will probably take a ferry to one of the bits of the archipelago too. Won't that be bloody cold lovely.
