Wye Valley receommendations please

I would be grateful if anyone can recommend somewhere really nice to stay in this area. Our booking at Orles Barn for next week has been cancelled (I think they have gone out of business) and I am frantically trying to find somewhere with a bit of luxury and good food. Thank you.

Yes, wait until you get to Hay-on-Wye to go to a pub (or the Pandy Inn!).

i think I know the road you mean rosequarz (never really know road numbers) Son drove us to Hay on that road last year. I was sitting in the front and DH was in the back. When we got there DH was huddled in the corner, pale-faced and actually shaking! We had to get him a coffee quick! (I loved the ride) grin
