As well as some spectacular places in the UK- many already mentioned.
I love the Astura region in Northern Spain. It has beautiful mountains and lakes

Through the Julian alps to Kranjska Gora ,Slovenia in winter is awe inspiring.We returned the following year by motorbike,to experience it more.
Plitvice lakes in Croatia are stunning.
I would never tire of the Derbyshire peak district,and love the train journey between Sheffield and Stockport.....rolling,green hills for miles.

I went to Zambia with my family a couple of months ago, staying at the Victoria Falls which was the most amazing, incredible, awe-inspiring sight I've seen. The local name is Mosi-oa-tunya "the smoke that thunders" and it really is... you can hear the falls from some distance away!
The sunsets were beautiful, too!
