Venice, once you know the secret areas its a no brainer.
Vancouver
finally pretty much any UK Seaside, I adore just walking along the shore/cliffs/promenade and taking it all in, but would never want to live there as would always be too far from family.

I agree re Venice Hilda I think we've been four times and have found cheap and cheerful places to eat.

Marydoll Sun 17-Feb-19 17:29:26

Rome
East Neuk of Fife
Azure Window (that was) and the Blue Lagoon in Gozo

However, as Jane10 said, I there is nothing like your own home.

Venice, Hawaiian islands and New Zealand.

Venice when the tourist bustle dies down
Malcesine (on top of Monte Baldo) Lake Garda
San Francisco (but no return while Trump is president!)
So many places here in Scotland.

My favourite places are:

Cornwall, anywhere I absolutely love the place.

Yorkshire Dales so many happy childhood memories

Aotearoa-New Zealand especially the Bay of Islands but just about any rural or coastal area is breathtakingly beautiful. I feel truly blessed to live here.

Choosing any 3 places is too tough. If I had to pick the best of my favorite destinations. Then those would be

Menorca
Venice
Tenerife

Agree with you Jane10 - although there are two favourite places I call home and feel like home.

B9exchange Wed 10-Apr-19 14:56:20

Choosing just three is well nigh impossible, can I have several goes? grin

Doubtful Sound, New Zealand
Mount Lavinia Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka
Cotswolds

Would certainly be among the top listed.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 10-Apr-19 15:37:11

My back garden, especially when the flowers are out.
The sea front at Exmouth when the sun is shining.
My fireside with a good book - not very exotic I'm afraid.

Gonegirl Wed 10-Apr-19 15:47:06

Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales
The Bluebell woods at Christmas Common
Outside any biscuit shop in Amsterdam

(The first two from gorgeous memories from the past, rather than wanting to go there now. These days I go anywhere I am dragged)

grannyactivist Wed 10-Apr-19 16:53:13

Cornwall, especially on the Helford River.
Norway, it's beautiful and we have many dear friends there.
East Devon, where I feel thankful every day that I live here.

grannyactivist Wed 10-Apr-19 16:54:50

If it wasn't a terribly cheesy thing to say I would, if I'm being honest, say that my favourite place in the world is wherever my favourite people are - especially The Wonderful Man. blush

SalsaQueen Wed 10-Apr-19 16:59:59

Porec in Croatia
Scarborough, Yorkshire
Paphos, Cyprus
