Bali
Bay of Islands, NZ
Top of the ridge which marks the turning point on my daily dog walk (deep in Somerset). On a clear day you can see for miles....and it is usually empty of other folk!

Where I live now - the Palatinate in Southern Germany.
The Breton coast, where the waves crashing against the rocks drown out all other noise.
The Suffolk coast.

Kuramathi - Maldives
Sarasota - Florida
Portmeirion - Wales

Anywhere where my family and close friends are really, I picked the above as the first two destinations were fabulous holidays with our youngest C. Portmeirion because we stayed there with our friends on the way to Llandudno, and had a fun filled 2 days (sunny but snow still on the ground)

Buenos Aires I was lucky enough to go there nearly 5 years ago, what a city! The Veneto, particularly the lakes, but great swathes of other parts of Italy. The south of France where quite a few of my cousins live.

I also really love Britain too but I live here so didn't include it in the 3.

I have travelled to quite a few amazing places further away than my favourites: Andalucia, Wensleydale, London . I love where I live too but took that for granted..or I would not have chosen to be here!

farview Sat 27-Oct-18 09:24:59

...it is hard to narrow it down to 3..I also have many more places that I love..but the ones that I chose are the 'close my eyes, pretend I'm there places' when I'm stressed/anxious....

I remember being in Sri Lanka walking through an archway of frangipani and thinking 'this is home'. I have been to South Goa about 12 times and Thailand is my third choice.
