watched the firts episode last night but recodred the second as it was a bit mindless - nice to see smartly dressed untattoed women though.

Ooh I wanted to watch this. Might catch it on iPlayer at some point.

Is it as good as something like Mad Men? I'm imagining that it is (high hopes!).

effblinder it's repeated to-night on BBC2 but it's late viewing,it is not quite same era as Mad Men just a bit later in fact, but shows nice glam styles and over the top lifestyle, very good if you want to relax and enjoy a girly programme, but must admit DH watched it but only for the Classic cars of the time.

Mad Men.... meets Mile High*.... with a bit of 24 thrown in

Absurd... but liked it!!!!

* Does anyone else remember Mile High ? Loved that....

I'm definitely going to watch it (recorded on Sky). My sister was a stewardess for Pam Am from 1970 for 8 years. She certainly had a glam life around the world. Shopped in Hong Kong, Delhi, New York. She was based in New York, Miami, San Francisco and Hawaii! envy

Just watched second episode - not promising!

I watched the first 2 episodes..........it probably wont qualify as a Mastermind subject, but it wasn't too bad. The fashions bring back memories. There was a shot of 4 of the air hostesses walking to their plane that was identical to part of the recent Virgin airlines ad. The start of it is apparently set in 1963, so I guess the Kennedy assassination will feature before long.

I actually quite enjoyed it, my husband thought it was dreadful, certainly not the quality of Mad Men (my favourite programme). The spy element was a step too far though!!! I will watch the next episode, but if I missed it, it wouldn't bother me too much.

mmm think I will only watch again if nothing better on the acting and dialogue are atrocious.

Had high hopes but it hasn't made it onto my list of essential viewing. What a pity.

I watched the first 2 episodes but wasn't taken with it - I do hate the "flash back" scenes.
