Just googled it, seems to be something to do with Terry woman and charity. Doesn't say what it stands for though.
Come on annika, elucidate please.

I googled it too. Saw T Wogan's name. Lost interest. Call my clothes togs sometimes.

Elegran Sun 15-Jan-12 15:18:12

I have several togs in my duvet. do they count?

Is that ginger lout Chris Evans? He is on the One Show and shouts and interrupts everyone.

I have a few nice sets of togs(clothes) does that count.

Terry's Old Gits?
In NZ they call their swimming gear 'togs' which seems very old-fashioned public school type vocabulary. Never heard my parents calling them that.

jeni Sun 15-Jan-12 16:33:25

Ah

Annika Sun 15-Jan-12 17:11:39

Yes Terry's old gits. I miss him on the radio in the mornings. he is on Sundays a few weeks at a time and then disappears for a while. The Sunday show is not as good as the morning shows he used to do. The Janet and John stories were funny.
Chris Evan has taken over his morning show but its not so good.
He is on the One Show on a Friday evening. A bit `loud` I find sometimes.

I loved Terry Wogan, can`t stand Chris Evans, so I must be a TOG.

Testy Old Gals Stampede?
Terrifying Old Grans Succeed?

Carol Sun 15-Jan-12 17:59:00

Terry's Old Geezers - I am not one, but used to listen to their stories on my way to work till Terry retired. I would drive along the M60 giggling like mad, avoiding looking at other drivers.

Annika Sun 15-Jan-12 18:39:59

Carol I used to listen to him while I walked to work, I had a radio with headphones.
When the Janet and John stories came on they used to make me laugh. I must have looked a right fool walking along the street giggling to myself so to try and look not like some mad old woman I would grab my handbag and peer into it pretending I was looking for something. I don't think any one was fooled hmm

I loved Terry's morning show. I often laughed my way to work! It's not quite the same now. Annobel in Ireland they call their swimming gear 'togs' too! It took me ages to remember that when I came here at first, they also call cupboards 'presses'. confused
