went to see this yesterday and what a disappointment. I'm not a Cluny fan but i thought the story might be interesting and our small cinema is lovely and warm and they serve tea and biscuits so thats all good - only £4 as well. the film was DIRE!!! So slow and boring with a very thin story line. It was set in Hawaii which was made to look like Jaywick on a wet day. I nodded off at one point and if I had been on my own I would have left the cinema. Coming soon though the Women in Black which looks very good.

susiecb - we have a lovely wee cinema like yours, and it's around the same price to get in. I was wondering about going to see The Descendants, but somehow it didn't really appeal...won't bother, I don't think! Do fancy The Woman in Black, though.

I agree about the plot but thought it was very funny at times. Despite the storyline. Which I would describe as gentle, in the tradition of a certain kind of non mainstream US film. But, as I said elsewhere, you have to be able to tolerate swearing teenagers.

I might not bother after your reviews ladies I'm not a Cloony fan anyway. I probably will see Woman in Black but I know I'll have a job seeing past Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter... it looks good though

Sorry everyone, but I loved the Descendants, thought it was beautifully done, George actually seemed to act, and thought the slightly sick humour was great.
