An Inspector Calls

I watched it on 'catch-up' last night. I hadn't seen it before and I didn't know what to expect. I really enjoyed it. Very thought-provoking.

I saw it a long time ago, or maybe I read the book, I can't remember now. It was a very good way of showing how each bit of unkindness added to the last to make the girl's life unbearable.

I caught the last half, very good, but I have seen the Alistair Simm version a while ago, and liked the ending where the rocking chair is seen moving and the inspector has disappeared!

So what it doesn't all make complete sense. It's an amazing piece of writing and of imagination.

He was clearly wanting to highlight that "no man/woman is an island" and that seemingly small individual actions accumulate to the whole; and the fact of social inequalities at the time.

Well, I thought it was a bit too "off pat". And highly improbable.

So there.

I agree with Eloethans post, that is exactly what it is about.The 'Inspector' inspects the whole family.
