How confusing for the poor baby. Living with Roy but with Tom doing his 'hands on' dad stuff when he's not swanning off on his Nuffield.

I see that the new editor is only just starting this week, so hopefully the storyline will improve as apart from Kirsty's pregnancy it's been as dull as ditchwater for last few months. Ridiculous romance with Pip and Toby for example. I also hope they'll drop the simulated voice that is Henry and introduce a juvenile actor to play the part more realistically too.

Anyone else read the Article about Sarah Coward aka Caroline who has terminal cancer, but wants her part to carry on? It was hard to take to the new/old Clarke and even more to the new Tony when Colin Skipp gave up. However now we know when she and Oliver went to Italy. We must assume that Debbie was between jobs. Henry is played by a boy aged 6 or 7, according to the Archers information. He reads his lines independently of the story line.

Tom would find it very difficult if Roy and Kirsty fell in love, wouldn't he. I confess to hoping that Kirsty and Tom rekindle their relationship and live happily together with their baby. Isn't Tom supposed to be going abroad on that fellowship thing?

Susan seems to be getting lots of good storylines. Great stuff!

Roy and Kirsty sound like a good match as there is too much baggage with Tom, but it would be complcated as Tom is the father.

I have looked to see if an actor plays Henry Iam64 and couldn't find out, so that's quite interesting and surprising. I have a GS of 5 yrs old and he sounded like Henry when he was about 2 and is much more mature now. Great scene with Susan.

I feel a bit sorry for the lad and his parents, in real life I mean. He's the subject of some very unpleasant comments on some forums. I'm still shocked at the vitriol some folk give themselves permission to post on the internet

I wouldn't worry too much about the parents. They're probably in their nineties.

That article was written in April when there was a lot of speculation about who plays Henry. It could be a young actor in her teens or twenties - not necessarily a child. Read between the lines.

Sorry, I still don't buy it.

I can understand the lines being recorded separately but why the need for anonymity on the radio and not on television?

TV dramas often feature child actors much younger than Henry and very good they are too.

Probably down to production budget/costs.

The Archers seems to have quite a few controlling gits at the moment.

Never mind Rob, we now have Toby who has Pip wrapped around his little finger and will no doubt spend all her money, Justin, who is using Lilian and is on course to stuff Home Farm because Brian is behaving like an idiot. Brian is -lying in his teeth laying on the emotional blackmail to get Jenny onside with regard to the land purchase and now Tom is trying to take control of Kirsty and the baby but thankfully Kirsty is made of much stronger stuff than Helen.

A local infants school has one of the children reading out the options on their phone answering machine. Brilliantly. He/she would make an excellent job of being Henwy.
