So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

Yes. Where did Charlie live merlotgran. Can't remember.

merlotgran Sun 23-Oct-16 20:45:29

Lovely to hear him well and truly on the back foot though.

I wonder if there will be an empty farmhouse or something befitting his delusions of status on one of the estates he'll be managing. Farmworkers cottages and manager's houses that are no longer tied are often used as holiday lets so I won't be surprised if Rob waltzes straight into an available des res!

Where did Charlie live?

Rob, arrgghh!!!!

£30,000 in legal feels hanging over the family. Let's hope that tractor increases in value rather quickly.

One thing that occurred to me was that if Helen does report Rob and the police investigate, she will be eligible for criminal injuries compensation. It's unlikely to be £30,000 but it's possible that both she and Henry would be awarded compensation. It's given if the victim cooperates with the police investigation, even if the perpetrator is not either tried or convicted.
Plus, Rob really does have it coming!

Katie1 I think this is the storyline. Tony and Pat's oldest son John 20ish at the time was killed on a tractor his dad was trying to restore. I think there was a bit of a row before John had stomped off in a huff to use this tractor. He was angry because his parents didn't like his relationship with Sharon.
Sharon ended up pregnant by John. Then in recent years Pat discovered that John had fathered a postumous child with Sharon who by then was living in Yorkshire. That baby is "Johnny" Pat and Tony's grandson who eventually came back to work as an apprentice farmer with P&T. Please correct if I have got it wrong.

I have been listening to this soap for far too long.

The story about Tony restoring an old tractor was used some years ago. Can anyone else remember it? There was a young student (female) on the farm who helped him and he became infatuated with her, if I remember correctly.

I thought Rob would be hanging around the hunt like a bad smell.
Loved the practical and sensitive help Lilian gave Helen over sorting her stuff from the cottage. It also enabled Helen to recall some of Rob's coercion and, more happily, moments from when she and Henry were happy together before.

AyjayF Wed 19-Oct-16 20:18:58

Lilians back. Hooray!!

merlotgran Wed 19-Oct-16 19:48:07

Good old Lilian....Now work your magic on Justin.

phoenix Tue 18-Oct-16 19:51:20

Oops, "your" cakes, of course blush

phoenix Tue 18-Oct-16 19:50:02

Agreed, BUT!!! Another Archers classic line!

"I'll never eat one of you cakes again!" grin

I'm still giggling, can't decide which is best, that one or Neal's incredulous "Wine! On a Monday!"

merlotgran Tue 18-Oct-16 19:43:24

Pip surely should have asked before helping herself to the cakes? No doubt Ruth and David will take her side though. hmm

Iam64 Tue 18-Oct-16 19:23:20

I was totally supportive of Jill during the exchange in the Brookfield kitchen when Pip went on a sorte to help herself to various cakes or deserts that Jill had made for her loved ones.
Call me old fashioned but honestly, speaking to your mid eighty aged grandmother in that tone at the age of 23, beyond anything reasonable. Shocking, self indulgent and thoroughly unpleasant. If I didn't have better self restraint, I'd say Pip needs good shaking. That can be done without using physical violence, David or Ruth need to have a calm, sensitive and clear discussion with Pip about the need to respect and show love and acceptance towards her elderly gran. What a little madam!

NfkDumpling Tue 18-Oct-16 19:20:56

Oh, Jill. Oh, Pip. Silly, silly, very silly!

merlotgran Mon 17-Oct-16 19:41:02

I see it hasn't taken long for Helen to return to her snippy self.

Hasn't it dawned on her that Tom and Johnny have moved out to make more room for her and the boys?

shysal Mon 17-Oct-16 19:38:10

I did wonder about Kirsty, it is a possibility. Neither was likely to have had a condom to hand!
I also put forward the Helen/Anna suggestion on here.

Rigby46 Mon 17-Oct-16 09:32:38

Does anyone follow this on MN? I really enjoy it - recent rumours are Kirsty is pregnant and Anna and Helen will have an affair

phoenix Sun 16-Oct-16 21:06:12

Dear old Bert, "wurr"! He's such a good soul, bless him!

Does anyone know when we might get news of Knobs psych assessment?

Elrel Sun 16-Oct-16 20:54:44

Merlot - you're right, very confusing voices. I quite liked the Fairbro Bros turning on Rob in unison!
Sensible Alice seems to be turning into Loose Cannon Kate.

merlotgran Sun 16-Oct-16 20:08:59

Did you count the Bert 'Wurrs' tonight, phoenix? There seemed to be loads of them.

All the stroppy men in Ambridge are beginning to sound like Rob now.

merlotgran Sat 15-Oct-16 10:19:46

Rob is going to be furious!!

Hurrah!

Lazigirl Sat 15-Oct-16 10:17:17

Yippee, there is an Archers God and Ian isn't leaving. I love him too Ayjay.

DaphneBroon Fri 14-Oct-16 19:38:46

Aaaaah ???

AyjayF Fri 14-Oct-16 19:32:03

Said it before. I'll say it again. I bloody LOVE Ian!!
