So, as the trial has been and gone, we are all glad that Helen won, and Rob had his true self revealed, will the rift 'tween Adam & Ian be healed?

Whose jam will be judged to be the best? Will Joe approach his final rest?

Will Grange Farm rent be paid on time?

Can I be arsed inspired to write more drivel rhyme?

Away we go!

Justin is two faced and a dissembler in so many ways. We really saw his true colours tonight.

Good to see (? hear) the backlash. University is not for everyone

merlotgran Thu 15-Jun-17 20:43:35

Yes. I agree. Typical of a farming father/son relationship.

I bet Pip gives him a hard time as well.

phoenix Thu 15-Jun-17 20:31:19

Good point merlot I hadn't thought of that blush but I still think David took the wrong approach.

merlotgran Thu 15-Jun-17 20:27:24

I don't know why he doesn't change his course to agricultural engineering. He will need a lot more knowledge/experience if he's going to make a success of his machinery business.

He won't be able to get away with a bit of dodgy welding, some WD40 and a tin of Hammerite for much longer.

I never thought I'd say this, but "good for you, Josh!"

How very dare David just assume that he can "order/insist" that Josh goes to university?

The boy might be a complete PITFA, but at least he's doing something, rather than sleeping until noon then playing computer games!

James sounds like a younger Justin.

AyjayF Wed 14-Jun-17 19:40:10

So, Elizabeth. That went well?

Elrel Fri 09-Jun-17 00:54:02

He does remind me of a DGC at that age! Especially on Monday!

AyjayF Thu 08-Jun-17 19:30:05

Hardly heard a peep from Freddie for years. Now we can't shut him up!

AyjayF Sun 04-Jun-17 20:14:40

Anthea is coming back!! Great character.

merlotgran Thu 01-Jun-17 21:41:47

My DD and DGDs are ducking out of the IW festival this year because in their opinion, Rod Stewart is beyond the pale! grin

phoenix Thu 01-Jun-17 21:35:06

Yes, the Amber thing seems a bit too easy.

Elrel Thu 01-Jun-17 21:25:42

Does anyone else suspect that Johnnie will be let down by dreamgirl at the last minute? If so I wonder whether Kirsty would use the ticket - in a genuinely 'just good friends' way.

Elrel Thu 01-Jun-17 21:23:47

Yes, good for her for not leaving her friends when he appears. Maybe she really is over him. But where will he look to use his charm next? Anisha, Lily?

AyjayF Thu 01-Jun-17 19:31:22

Oh, dear. Poor, poor Toby. He wants to cut all ties with Pip. Probably to get her more interested.
Conveniently forgetting he owes her £5000!

phoenix Wed 31-May-17 20:25:10

Bugger blush

phoenix Wed 31-May-17 20:23:33

Edit! Should have been 4!

Edit! Should have been 4 categories!

AyjayF Wed 31-May-17 20:15:34

Please, please please let Lily fail that biology exam

phoenix Wed 31-May-17 19:12:08

Ok, so let's have marks out of ten for the Lily irritation factor.

They can be divided into 3 categories, namely:

Voice

General characteristics

Overall annoyance

Smugness

Justin said it was in the Local Plan, but don't think good farm land would be. In my area opportunistic developers are cruising round the countryside looking for fields that they can persuade local farmers to apply for residential planning permission for. They have had a go at a field behind my house, which is not in the local plan, and been refused twice, but there is a great pressure on LAs to build more houses. (More profit from large detached but they have to throw in a few "affordable".)

AyjayF Tue 30-May-17 19:34:56

Surely a Local Plan already considers areas good for housing. How can Justin nip round to landowners + pick the bits he likes? Am I missing something?

merlotgran Tue 30-May-17 18:40:55

I thought we were going to hear him speak last night after he was runner up in the single wicket.

I know teenage boys only grunt but I'd love to know whether he has a dead posh grunt or an Irish one.

Elrel Tue 30-May-17 15:47:27

When Ruari was very small and his mother died it was considered important to keep links with Siobhan's family. May be this is a precursor to some involvement with his Irish relatives. They've not been mentioned or seen him lately as far as I remember.
