It isn't something I usually comment on but

Leslie Joseph is 71 in two weeks time!!!!!!!

Actually thought Ed was quite entertaining tonight. I am going to have to go and lie down now.

BlueBelle. Thank goodness I'm not alone with thinking the gesture where he run his hand over his paunch was yukkey. OH had another word for it, it begins with a 'p'

Anya Sat 29-Oct-16 21:33:39

Like Darcy, I was howling with laughter at Ed's performance. His hand move wasn't raunchy, it was just pure comedy.

Lona Sat 29-Oct-16 22:04:53

I thought he looked even fatter, apparently he's enjoying the catering very much. He's very creepy and smug IMO. thlhmm

Charleygirl Sat 29-Oct-16 22:12:48

If I had been in charge of costume, white trousers would have been the last thing on my mind for Ed. He was in time for the entire dance which was good for him. Dare I say it I voted for him- he does try very hard.

I do like to watch Robert Rinder but he must control his mouth.

I have no idea who will be in the bottom two tomorrow evening.

ninathenana Sat 29-Oct-16 22:28:30

Ed's best dance so far.

Jane10 Sun 30-Oct-16 08:15:43

Bottom 2 -Daisy (because she's not very popular which is a shame)and Anastacia (because it wasn't a very good dance and she's not popular). Anastacia to go for me. Any more predictions?

Badenkate Sun 30-Oct-16 08:31:52

I think you could very well be right Jane10

I just loved Ed Balls. He must have a lot of confidence in himself to perform as he does. I don't mean confidence in his dance ability, just self confidence, no worries about looking ridiculous, so I admire him for that. Whatever, he was really the star of the show last night and gave a lot of pleasure and a lot of laughs to a lot of people. I hope he stays in a bit longer.

I predict Anastacia will go out tonight.

Wish Ed would go. His dance on Saturday didn't make me laugh, rather cringe. It seems Ed polarises views, I find him smug, which I could forgive if he could dance hmm. I doubt he will be in the dance off, suspect Anastacia and maybe Daisy, although both are better dancers than Ed. Out of those two would prefer Anastacia to leave. Didn't enjoy the programme overall this week, probably just being grumpy!

DanniRae Sun 30-Oct-16 17:22:09

I never enjoy Halloween night on Strictly - I suppose the costumes and make-up are amazing (did you know the make-up artist who appears on It Takes Two is Ant's wife (of Ant and Dec?)) However, I like to see the faces of those who are dancing and find the make-up and costumes all a bit gruesome!! shock

Lona Sun 30-Oct-16 17:27:40

I agree corner, I didn't enjoy it very much either. There's no dancer that I'm particularly bothered about, so I don't care who wins and I don't usually feel like this.
I thought Tess looked very nice last night.

Charleygirl Sun 30-Oct-16 17:31:24

I think that Ore is my favourite and he may well win.

cazthebookworm Sun 30-Oct-16 19:19:20

My favourites are Claudia and AJ, I think they are amazing for such young people.........it would be lovely if an outsider won instead of one of the favourites smile

Jane10 Sun 06-Nov-16 09:16:36

So who's for the chop tonight? I reckon that the previous non dancers -Ed and Judge are so popular that they'll be protected. Could be a dance off of two 'good' dancers. The judges will be furious!

Charleygirl Sun 06-Nov-16 10:34:34

I agree with you Jane10 I think that the girl who has been in the dance off at least twice (I have forgotten her name) may well be there again tonight, mainly because she is not popular.

I have my hard hat on, I voted for Ed. He worked so hard for a previous non dancer and he is not in his first flush of youth. His wife Yvette Cooper was almost crying with laughter.

Jane10 Sun 06-Nov-16 10:41:06

I enjoy Ed and Judge's dances so much due, I suspect, to their transparent enthusiasm and sheer joy in the dancing. A breath of fresh, uncool, air!

DanniRae Sun 06-Nov-16 11:03:40

Me too Jane10 - if I had to guess I think it will be a dance off between Greg and Daisy. Neither deserve to go but they are all so good now and if not that good then they are cute - yes I'm talking about you ED!!

notoveryet Sun 06-Nov-16 11:10:42

I do enjoy a quickstep, not so keen on the Latin dances.I thought Ed did very well and it has been great to watch a rather older non dancer learn. Somehow I don't think he'll be leaving tonight, hope not anyway.

Anya Sun 06-Nov-16 11:18:08

There are some very strong male contestents this year. Even the ones like Judge Rinder and Ed Balls, who were added for pure entertainment are actually worth watching.

Thinking Laura in dance off possibly?

Badenkate Sun 06-Nov-16 11:19:55

I think that Ed and Judge Rinder are really what Strictly is about. They have both worked so hard at something which Ed in particular obviously have not found easy and improved so much that they both deserve to go on rather than some others who clearly were already fairly competent dancers before they started.

Anniebach Sun 06-Nov-16 11:37:02

Ed has improved week by week , others were perfect from week one , I hope Ed stays so we can see more improvement
