Is that the same as iplayer? I find that period of time so confusing; no matter how much I read or watch series/documentaries, I still get the constant changing of sides confusing. Still think it's far more interesting than HenryVIII and his wives, especially as we stay in the shadow of Middleham Castle sometimes. Surprised that the BBC aren't showing this.

At first they seem to do a huge amount of very fast walking around cloisters (see what you think) but it certainly improved.

durhamjen I have recently read 'The Last Tudor' and was quite shocked at the treatment of the Grey sisters by Elizabeth 1st. I knew the story of Lady Jane Grey, poor girl, but had no idea about the persecution of her sisters. I have read a lot about Elizabeth but she has never come across as such a spiteful, unhappy person as she is in this book.

Yes, it was certainly an eye-opener. Of course, Philippa Gregory said not much was known about Mary, but the others were written about.

Did you have to keep a bookmark in the pages of family trees?

Yes I always have to keep referring back to the family trees in Philippa Gregory books. There were so many ladies called Mary and Margaret.
Have you read any of Alison Weir's fiction books ? I recently read Katherine of Aragon and have Anne Boleyn waiting on my book shelf. I prefer her writing to Philippa Gregory.

No, I haven't. I read a lot with my grandson, as I hometeach him, and have been reading Philippa Gregory's trilogy about the Children's Crusade.
I'll have to try Alison Weir.
