I have just unwrapped our Radio Times, for the forthcoming week, 9-15 December, and it is completely missing pages 1-18, and therefore the corresponding pages at the back of the magazine. Has anyone else had the same thing happening to their copy? Our issue covers London .

London issue here, too, Auntieflo, but intact!

Thanks 'nnw', I have emailed them, but don't really expect an answer. Luckily all the program listings were there.

Its years since we bought RT. I use to really enjoy the Christmas edition but it seems unnecessary now you can look up all the channels on the TV and the internet.

We only ever bought the Christmas edition of Radio and TV times.
As Teetime says, we have no need for them now.

I still buy it every week

We used to have it delivered but now all the weekend papers seem to have supplements containing the programmes for the following week, so we don't bother.

Back in the day, when there were only about 3/4 Chanel's, and if course the old tvs didn't have guides on them, I used to only buy the Radio and the TV times for the Christmas period. The kids used to pounce in them and go through marking off what they wanted to watch. Wasn't life simpler in those days!?

Same here Smithy the children used to love the ritual of ticking all the programmes that they wanted to see....happy days!

Has anyone heard of anything good that will be on tv for the Christmas week?

My adult children are always amused that their mother who happily embraces new technology in many areas of her life still sits down on a Saturday morning with the new Radio Times and a highlighter pen!

Yes, still buy it here every week too. Should stop really would be a bit more money saved, but I do enjoy some of the articles.

Parsleywin Sat 09-Dec-17 19:23:03

I keep thinking that perhaps I should cancel too. But I do enjoy it! I wonder how long it'll keep going, as most under 40s don't seem to buy print now.

My DH pays the Radio Times subscription, and has done for more years than I care to remember £££££,s ?? But, I must admit that I do enjoy it and all the usually well written articles, and look forward to some of the regular columns. I know we can look it up on line, or the built in guide to programmes on TV, but I very much doubt he will change now. It is also nice to hear that lots of you still enjoy buying it.

We had a subscription for it for many years but not now. Just put Radio Times into Google. TV Listings - Radio Times comes up. grin

I’m just watching The Snowman at the moment - seems very apt given all the posts about snow
