Just watched her decorating a yule log but did anyone see the bluebottle running around the blue and white stripey bowl ?? Ha ha - hurrah !

I love Kirstie and I love that she wears nice frocks all the time but could I be arsed to do any of this stuff - NO. I keep watching the programmes though - clever people but I wonder what they do with all the things they make.

I doubt yummy mummies have too much time on their hands, do they? They are surely too busy taxiing the yummy children to school, dancing, swimming, tennis, gymnastics, extra tuition, play dates etc to make any of the dust-gathering articles that Kirsty makes.

Many of the crafts shown take a lot of skill and patience. I wonder why people are often so disparaging.
It has been shown that crafts , including knitting, crochet patchwork have a very beneficial effect on health and well-being.

I don't know either, it does take skill and patience. And much of my 'craft' goes off to help those needing help.

Perhaps disparaging because they can't do any of those things?
It's not as if we are chained to our knitting needles, crochet hooks, sewing machines etc - but we do manage to fit it in around our very busy lives!

I think Kirstie has a great life, going around the country learning how to make lovely stuff, wearing nice frocks and living in a gorgeous country pile. Jealous? Moi?

I love Kirsty!
I love crafting.
Sewing and other crafts have earned me a living, and been my therapy at times of distress.

it's just that I have three knitted garments waiting to be sewn up - any volunteers please?

Kirsty can be a bit OTT at times but I'm fascinated by the program and what people can achieve

We've been watching this with fascination. Kirstie....well, I can see why she gets on some peoples nerves, but I can tolerate her. She still seems no better at making any of the things despite years of practise.

I like looking at the different crafts although unless you have many many free hours anyone in their right mind wouldn't attempt any of it. Also not everyone owns a kiln, furness, glass blowing equipment, angle grinder, welding equipment, squid ink to name but a few.

But where do you put all this stuff once you've made it? I can't stand the clutter.
And am I the only person who doesn't want candles everywhere, smelly balls fizzing round the bathwater and overpriced soap with porridge oats in it?

Jalima1108 Sat 23-Dec-17 22:42:36

You give it away for Christmas presents tchgrin
but don't give me any soap with porridge oats in it please!

SpringyChicken Sat 23-Dec-17 22:53:03

I was counting on giving it to you, I'm stuck now.

It'll just bung up the plughole, sorry
