Have just heard that Leon, from Gogglebox has died. That's sad. He and June were an amusing couple, but he was naughty with his snacks.

The nicest couple on the programme; terribly sad to hear of his death.

Loved his wicked sense of humour and June's long suffering sideways glances.

RIP Leon.

I just heard via the bbc website I did like them. How sad.

Yes just seen it on the news and we both said how sad it is - Leon and June were very funny and reminded us so much of our own parents.

RIP Leon. He and June made Gogglebox. I'll miss his wit and gentle humour.

Sad news - poor June....

Maggiemaybe Sat 23-Dec-17 23:44:05

What a shame. We always enjoyed their wry comments and they were so good together.

Eloethan Sat 23-Dec-17 23:45:59

Lovely couple

A sad loss, poor June. I loved the roguish twinkle in Leon’s eye when he recounted tales of their youth!
As a teacher I’d wish he’d been my head! Lovely couple and so comfortable together - an enviable long term relationship ...

Auntieflo Wed 27-Dec-17 19:43:39

I watched the Christmas Gogglebox, just a re-hash of old programmes, and I was hoping for a mention of Leon at the end, but didn't see one. Apologies if there was, and I missed it.

midgey Wed 27-Dec-17 20:19:26

It was a tricky the beginning Auntieflo

midgey Wed 27-Dec-17 20:20:29

Whoops, autocorrect gone nuts, it was at the beginning Auntieflo!

Auntieflo Wed 27-Dec-17 23:07:05

Oh thanks Midgey, I must have missed the very beginning. Glad they remembered him. I loved the bit where June Vaxed up the crumbs on his jumper.

It would be lovely if there was some way that all GN's could send our good wishes to June, so many of us enjoyed seeing them on Googlebox, they were a joy to watch, Leons sort of shuffle within his chair, with accompanying twinkle, June's slight frown, then shoulder movement, and slight (subtle) toss of the head.

They loved each other very much, and I for one loved watching them and felt much warmth and affection for them both.

RIP Leon, and sorry for your loss, June and family.

Phoenix, you are awake very early!! Anyway, that is a lovely thought, and maybe by the power of something, you know, (the way things leak out of Gransnet and onto other sites), that June will get to hear of our best wishes to her. (Here's to the internet angels or whatever ) 👼 🦄
