Gogglebox

Phoenix, you are awake very early!! Anyway, that is a lovely thought, and maybe by the power of something, you know, (the way things leak out of Gransnet and onto other sites), that June will get to hear of our best wishes to her. (Here's to the internet angels or whatever ) ? ?

It would be lovely if there was some way that all GN's could send our good wishes to June, so many of us enjoyed seeing them on Googlebox, they were a joy to watch, Leons sort of shuffle within his chair, with accompanying twinkle, June's slight frown, then shoulder movement, and slight (subtle) toss of the head.

They loved each other very much, and I for one loved watching them and felt much warmth and affection for them both.

RIP Leon, and sorry for your loss, June and family.

Oh thanks Midgey, I must have missed the very beginning. Glad they remembered him. I loved the bit where June Vaxed up the crumbs on his jumper.

I watched the Christmas Gogglebox, just a re-hash of old programmes, and I was hoping for a mention of Leon at the end, but didn't see one. Apologies if there was, and I missed it.

A sad loss, poor June. I loved the roguish twinkle in Leon’s eye when he recounted tales of their youth!
As a teacher I’d wish he’d been my head! Lovely couple and so comfortable together - an enviable long term relationship ...

Yes just seen it on the news and we both said how sad it is - Leon and June were very funny and reminded us so much of our own parents.

I just heard via the bbc website www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-42466801 I did like them. How sad.

Auntieflo How sad I am to hear this he was such a kind man he had a wonderful outlook on life naughty but nice as you would say.
They lived not too far from us over the water near friends of ours June will be devastated I think they where married about 60yrs.RIP Leon you will be sadly missed.

Oh that’s sad I liked Leon and June he was in his 80 s I believe they are both retired teachers
