I confess, I am watching it. Someone phoned me Monday night and told me Anne Widdie and Rachel Johnson were in there. I think Widdie is great , met her once when she was here canvassing.

It has been women only to celebrate 100 years of women given the vote, sadly men are going in tonight.

Funny Anne trying to curl her hair!! She's so sweet!!

Whilst I agreed with Rachel's assertion that India needed to change the record, I think I would have preferred Jonny to have gone. He's part of the trio of Jack the Lads, their chit chat is quite banal they aren't very articulate and their conversation frequently veers into blantant sexism. The older guys, John Barnes and Shane Lynch for example, not only are more interesting and are actually famous for something but are far more considered in their opinions. Also Jonny sounds as if he has permanent catarrh, maybe he has so commiserations to him if that's the case, but he doesn't sound good to listen to .I didn't see it last night, but know India went, I'm not sure I'm going to keep viewing it's such a commitment time wise

So pleased that India has gone she tried so hard to back step right through to the end silly person.
I hope Widdie stays in longer she seems to be coming into herself these last few days.
The overall winner I would like to see is Shane L he seems such a caring person and gets his opinions across without causing offence to anyone.

Anniebach Sat 13-Jan-18 13:35:27

I fear Anne will be next out. .

Nannylovesshopping Sat 13-Jan-18 12:53:52

Right so India has gone, she obviously realised she had got it all wrong, tried to backtrack but, too late, don't think she will be too missed! The "showmance" seems to be hotting up bet her parents are cringing, Wayne wants it known he's not small all over, good job Ann didn't see, an attack of the vapours would have been forthcoming! I have my money on Shane/Courtney to wingrin

Anton du beke said when Anne went in she had a great sense of humour , I don't think she is learning about banter after all those years in Westminster ?

shysal Thu 11-Jan-18 09:41:55

It is good to see Anne learning about banter, and fitting in with the boys as well as the girls. She almost seems to be having fun! smile

DanniRae Thu 11-Jan-18 09:10:50

But Anne had a bit of a make-over! I think it's really sweet how the other women treat her........doing her hair and make-up........and she clearly enjoys it. Good for her (and for them)!!

Yikes!!

glammanana Wed 10-Jan-18 12:52:06

Annie Like yourself her politics don't concern me she just comes across when ever interviewed away from the Government she comes across as a real Lady and very concerned as to what the topic is,she reminds me so much of my nana in looks and her facial mannerisms of disapproval.lol.

Anniebach Wed 10-Jan-18 12:43:27

Glamma, I hope you are wrong, if she stays in she will become more of a Diva . If Anne goes I will not watch the rest of the series, her politics doesn't come into this programme or her age , I though Rachel was right to say she was proud of her brothers too.

glammanana Wed 10-Jan-18 12:10:13

Anniebach I somehow don't think India will be voted out viewers will want to keep her in for the ongoing conflict she is causing among the housemates,I do think she was secretly delighted to be nominated last night and thinks she will be saved and if she is saved her opinion of herself will be massive I think.(I maybe totally wrong but hey-ho)

Devorgilla Wed 10-Jan-18 11:27:52

I will be surprised if she is voted out as she is prime viewing. Ann is rumoured to be the highest paid this year, with India somewhere in the middle. CBB will want its money's worth and will not want audiences to fall which they will if there is no controversy in the house.
You don't have to be old to be opinionated and at least Ann justifies her opinion. Politically, I don't agree with her on much but I do on the 'pain' thing although I was yelling at the screen - "What about the pain of austerity, Ann?" I think Jess got upset because deep down she knew Ann was right on this and felt embarrassed. Still didn't justify her nominating Ann IMO. Roll on tonight's fix, but first, the reality show of PMQs.

Anniebach Wed 10-Jan-18 10:17:20

Hope so Danni , hope so

Anniebach Wed 10-Jan-18 10:16:46

I too like Anne , she isn't trying to be liked but not causing rows or seeking attention .

wot Wed 10-Jan-18 10:01:58

I like Anne Widdicome! I remember seeing her on a programme on Victorian London. She has her principles and courage of her convictions. Age is irrelevant except for shallow concerns about " looks"

DanniRae Wed 10-Jan-18 09:44:55

OUT - I hope Annie!!

Anniebach Wed 10-Jan-18 09:20:36

So back to the programme, will viewers vote India out or keep her in ?

Anniebach Wed 10-Jan-18 09:00:35

What is this obsession Some have about age? so nasty to dismiss Widdie as an OLD woman. more so from a supporter of a party leader only two years younger

This dig at a woman's age is nasty

Tegan2 Tue 09-Jan-18 23:12:02

I am tempted to watch it to see Rachel Johnson [how can a gene pool throw up such diverse people asRachel and her brother?],but do not really want to see Ann Widdecombe. If anyone wants to see/hear an old opinionated woman watch Miriam Margoles [sp] new programme where she travels across America. The main difference between her and Anne being that Miriam has a social conscience....
