I watched this programme, I really warmed to the queen.

I have a Coronation mug somewhere (in the attic) and had a very small Coronation coach and horses, but it broke because I probably played with it.
We also had a silver-plated spoon.

Well, 4 of us at our knitting group thought she came across as very stern not at all cheery. We felt sorry for the poor chap trying to conduct the interview he tried to get a smile here and there, but failed miserably.
I am not a royalist but appreciate she has worked hard over the years. Shame she didn't take the opportunity of this her first interview, to show a more pleasant side to her nature.

I think that the Queen was probably quite nervous and found it something of an ordeal to be giving this her first interview at her great age, which was why she came over as a little bit severe. I loved the way she grabbed the crown, no white gloves for her!! and she has got a stunning smile!
