Film sets that I would like to live in !

Not a film but a Netflix series, the beach house in Grace & Frankie, can I go a bit further & say I would also love Frankie’s clothes & jewellery & also to be able to paint in her studio! ?

I wouldn't mind Bingley's house in 'Pride and Prejudice'. It is actually Basildon Park in Berkshire and I visit it quite often. I used to have a friend who visited National Trust properties and would say, 'It's lovely but I couldn't live here.' I, on the other hand, would have no problem trading up.

Always dreamed of owning a thatched cottage but that's not going to happen. At least living in Devon there are lots to admire.

Are you watching the BBC series about Ikea gran5up? I'm always fascinated by the houses in sitcoms/tv series and think it must be a great job to be in charge of decorating the sets. Mind you, I was pretty upset when the BHS curtains and duvet set I'd bought for DD's bedroom turned up in EastEnders . I always love those houses that are sort of higgledy piggledy [sp] but very tasteful at the same time [thinks Our Family or whatever that Zoe Wannamaker/Robert Lindsay series was called] and more recently Motherland].

Roman Holiday would do nicely for me. A drop of AH & GP company would have embellished it nicely.

Love Mary Berry’s house and garden. I like watching escape to the country some of those houses make me envious.

I would just love to live in the Hobbit village in Lord of the Rings. I would love a semi-under the grass house all made with curves and turf over my head. Bliss!! One day I will visit New Zealand and go and see it.

The Durrells house in crete I would have fun there decorating and making it look pretty. Also I like the shack in Death in paradise although I might feel different in hurricane season!! ?

Another vote for Inspector Montelbano's house. The idea of breakfast on the balcony looking at and listening to the sea is my idea of bliss.

Think it was Diane Keaton you are thinking about pink daisy not MS. ?. I love that house too! Huge windows with a gorgeous view & during the storm, all those candles! Very classy. If not that one, then the kitchen & ‘barn’ where Nigella Lawson did her Christmas cooking!
