The Real Full Monty and Ladies’ Night

've just watched the ladies one, and am in tears. Very moving. So worthwhile if it makes just one extra person check themselves.

I am so glad that MawBroon has started this post!! What an amazing programme - I watched it with my husband last night and shed a few tears and, having recorded it, I have just watched it again. More tears for me! I just felt so much emotion for those brave women - the ones who had had breast cancer and Michelle Heaton who had had her breasts removed (and reconstructed) because she had a high chance of getting it. All the rest did it because their lives have been touched by someone they love having cancer.
I can't believe how brave they all were when they, obviously, didn't want to flash their boobs but all did it.
Well done to Coleen Nolan for getting involved in the first place - to Ashley Banjo for devising an amazing routine and to all of them for a brilliant performance.
If you didn't watch it last night I highly recommend that you watch it on 'catch-up' and see it for yourself!!

I watched both programmes, it was hard as we are closely affected by both prostate and bc and was in tears, thinking of those I love in this awful situation.
It was intensely moving at times and cheering at others, and I hope that everyone, be they male or female, have been made more aware that any changes should be checked out if there is any concern.

I watched both programmes and hats off to them all.

I also commented to Grampy how clearly you could see the difference between men and women and how they deal with this type of thing. Fascinating !!

I watched it last night too and was teary. Yesterday I'd just had the all clear from a breast screening having been recalled. What incredibly brave women - and how supportive of each other. I liked the fact that they were of different ages too which enabled any woman to relate to them. It made me wonder if I could /would do something like that in those circumstances.

I didn't watch but did wonder why ladies feel the need to disrobe to make a point. Read a number of posts on a national paper forum where a number of men were disappointed that the didn't go the 'full monty'.

Well if you didn’t watch it, perhaps you missed the point?

Sorry to say, that if this is correct that there are some very sad men out there!!

If what is correct?
That men find it hard to talk about restate ortesticulsr cancer?
That some men are to shortsighted/afraid/in denial to check themselves or see a doctor?
That too many men are unable to talk to each other?
That some men can still not understand the emotional issues accompanying breast cancer or breast surgery?

Or just the trivial chauvinist opinion reported by Telly?
Any or all I suspect!

I did watch it, I thought they all did.

Very good programmes. DH was a bit bemused when one of the ladies mentioned how upset she’d been when she lost her eyelashes due to chemo, but did say that he supposed it would matter more to women. Well, yes! It certainly did throw up differences to male and female attitudes.
Anyone else impressed with the way Ruth Madoc at 74 showed she’s still got “it”,with just a pose and a wink?

Yes she was brilliant, if you are going to do it,you need a positive attitude & that’s what she had.

I didn’t watch so guess I shouldn’t comment but the run ups with Colleen Nolan put me off
