Someone mentioned the new BBC thriller ‘Hidden’ starting this week. It is on BBC4 Saturday at 9 - but it is on BBC1 Wales tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9pm.

I'm half way through Hidden and was glad to see Mark Lewis Jones again. Many Gransnetters loved him as Baldini in Keeping Faith.

Just finished the Staircase on Netflix, all 14 episodes. It is a true story and is filmed as it happened. I won't give anything away but all I can say is that it is a real rollercoaster. I am worn out having watch about 5 episodes in a couple of days Phew.

Age before beauty watched half switched it off as I thought it was going to be awful but my friend who usually likes the same as me said she enjoyed it so I watched on catchup and she might be right

I've started watching The Staircase on Netflix and it is surprisingly addictive too.

Really enjoyed Hidden. The sub-titles kept me riveted to the screen but DH gave up as his vision is impaired. Am now a bit hooked on Keeping Faith - thought at first it wasn't for me but now enjoying it. Unforgotten is now my TV highlight of the week. I would watch anything with Nicola Walker in it.

I am rewatching Keeping Faith as I too missed a few of the twists and turns. Enjoying it as much the second time as the first. I have been playing the lovely theme tune by Amy Wadge on my Alexa machine.

Yes Bluebelle. I saw that a few months ago on BBC Wales. I enjoyed it, but got a bit confused in later episodes.

Thanks NanKate, I'll give that a look.

BlueBelle Thu 02-Aug-18 19:34:32

Anyone else watching Keeping Faith i m enjoying that too

NanKate Thu 02-Aug-18 19:12:35

I have started watching the Frankenstein Chronicles with Sean Bean on ITV and enjoyed the first episode.

I have only just seen the last episode. It was great, but I too feel sorry for that innocent man in prison for years.

Also for the neighbour who got killed.

And I find myself wanting to know how the little girl Nia gets on in life, after such a horrible start.

I absolutely love Unforgotten.

Thanks for reminding me Mary I had forgotten I was watching Unforgotten ?

Mary59nana Wed 01-Aug-18 09:19:51

Really enjoyed both dramas on gransnetters recommendations
Can’t wait for next episode of Unforgotten

NanKate Tue 31-Jul-18 22:36:36

Excellent series such good acting. I almost gave up after episode one, so pleased I was persuaded to keep going.

Now what’s next ?

POGS Mon 30-Jul-18 20:26:32

I thought it was a well worth a watch and I thought the best actor was the mother, what a piece of work.

Sheena Mon 30-Jul-18 17:12:07

Brilliant series.. I've just watched the last episode ... great stuff... and I agree Auntieflo , I thought the same hmm

Auntieflo Sun 29-Jul-18 23:15:34

What about the poor chap who has been in prison for years?

lemongrove Sun 29-Jul-18 21:31:27

Just watched the last episode this evening, such good acting from Rhoddri ? He plays Dylan.
I won’t do any spoilers.

NanKate Sun 29-Jul-18 21:26:46

Thanks Seacliff I am about to start episode 4, I’m hooked ?

merlotgran Sun 29-Jul-18 13:14:27

I think I'll give Unforgotten a go this afternoon. DH will be watching sport and it's too windy to be outside.

BlueBelle Sun 29-Jul-18 13:11:12

I enjoyed that. The mother played a blinder when they were interviewing her
Now I’m into Unforgotten

merlotgran Sun 29-Jul-18 12:28:13

Great ending!

Pittcity Sun 29-Jul-18 12:14:07

Thanks again Gners for a new TV recommendation. Now that it's raining we will put the iplayer on.

seacliff Sun 29-Jul-18 11:56:02

It grew on me NanKate. It IS dark and depressing but I want to know what happens. Hope you get hooked too.

NanKate Sun 29-Jul-18 11:38:03

I found episode 1 rather depressing and dark, literally, but on your recommendation I will try episode 2.

seacliff Mon 23-Jul-18 11:23:27

Yes Bluebelle, you really have to peer at the screen sometimes. I suppose it's all part of the atmosphere.
