in real life.

I loved this series as some of it was close to our experiences when our children were growing up.
But I'm a bit taken aback by this - fantasy becomes reality?

Maybe in a few years they will do an outnumbered for grandparents ?

What's cheering about this is that they are both in their 50s. It's not middle aged madness, with the man casting off a long term partner for a girl half his age. Marriages can get a bit stale after a couple of decades and bringing up a family so we have to try to remain interesting for our partners but that can be hard. I hope their previous relationships ended without bad feelings.

I loved Outnumbered and found it very funny. Hope the relationship is very happy. I know HD's parents who are a delightful couple.

Ah, Cheryl Tweedy. Such a pretty woman. Seems to go in for serial monogamy, rather like the late (and equally beautiful, rich and famous) Liz Taylor.

I didn't watch the series as that sort of comedic scenario isn't to my taste. That said, I hope their relationship lasts, unlike Cheryl Tweedy's latest news. People seem to dip in and out of relationships far too much nowadays, starting the next one before the first (or second or third) one is properly finalised.

That’s a surprise but a nice one. We loved Outnumbered in our house. Lovely programme to enjoy with family.

As far as reported there was no affair preceding this reationship.
Good luck to them both.
However I'm now thinking that the ex wife and husband will be in the media telling a different story.

Blinko
I'm with you on this. I have never watched it because the precocious children put me off.
May have missed out on a good programme but it was those children being smug and bossy.

DanniRae Mon 02-Jul-18 15:48:09

Very happy for them - I wish them much love for the future wine

Blinko Mon 02-Jul-18 15:36:20

I must be the odd one out. I hated the series and never watched it after the first time. Cheeky, smartarse kids are not remotely amusing, imo. (where's that tin hat emoji?)

I do wish them well, though. They seem well matched.

Hugh Dennis looks very like our eldest son. Born the same year too.
But I hope our J. stays with his wife H.

Teetime Mon 02-Jul-18 13:10:09

I think this is lovely they look really good together. Loved the series I often rewatch it.

glammanana Mon 02-Jul-18 11:40:59

Best of luck to them both, nobodies been hurt

Pebbles77 Mon 02-Jul-18 11:15:41

Life’s short .... nobody played away as far as we know .... wishing them all the happiness...
Love
That programme

My husband once spent some time with Hugh Dennis as he was hired by his company to be a guest speaker at their awards. The DH said Hugh Dennis was utterly charming and pleasant and not at all arrogant or above his company as many celebrities seem to be. I hope the pair are happy. They are both cracking actors and 'Outnumbered' was hilarious.

Elrel Mon 02-Jul-18 10:12:55

Brilliant series but it had to end because the children grew up, just as irl!

sarahellenwhitney Mon 02-Jul-18 10:03:40

Actors working together get to see every side of their co stars .Maybe they get to know what makes each other tick far more than just dating someone.

angie95 Mon 02-Jul-18 10:00:05

Good luck to them both. as the show Outnumbered was partly unscripted, it shows how well they worked together. xx

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 02-Jul-18 09:49:26

I'm happy for them and hoped they've found a relationship that lasts. They've known each other for years and it's often best to get to know someone slowly as a friend or colleague first - they know what they're letting themselves in for.

jenpax Mon 02-Jul-18 09:19:43

Always like Hugh Dennis and loved Outnumbered! It felt like they were filming at my house?

Deedaa Mon 02-Jul-18 09:08:51

They always seemed a believable couple in the show. Not like some programmes where you just think "those two would never even have spoken to each other in real life!" I hope it works out for them.

Luckygirl Sun 01-Jul-18 19:35:53

Good luck to them indeed.

Fennel Sun 01-Jul-18 19:32:27

Maybe acting those parts was what drew them together.
They were partly unscripted.
I'm pleased about it too, always liked Hugh Dennis.

sodapop Sun 01-Jul-18 18:56:59

Good luck to them, both separated so no harm done. Outnumbered was such a funny series, I really enjoyed it.

TerriBull Sun 01-Jul-18 18:54:17

I read about it and thought that's nice. Good luck to them, let's face it many of us meet our other halves at work.

I saw Hugh Dennis walking in a road near to where I live a few weeks ago, he was on his own though.

lemongrove Sun 01-Jul-18 18:18:25

I think this happens frquently in the acting world, co stars getting together.
