Absolutely fantastic. How proud and grateful I felt for these outstanding men and women past and present, what a debt we owe you. The sight the Lancaster flanked by the Spitfires was a real tear jerker. Thankyou each and every one of you. God save you all and God save the Queen!

What crystaltipps said, above!

We only heard about it this morning but decided to go as the temperature was cooler than recent days. Very glad we did. I'd set the TV to record the morning's events, so it was good to watch it all again when we got home.

Watched the fly past over Henley today, wow, what precision flying, amazing.

Sadly I missed the flypast on TV but will get it on catchup. A Lancaster flew quite low over our garden last week - such a privilege to see it, as was the Spitfire we saw at the National Memorial Arboretum doing passes over the central memorial. As for the Typhoon, I’m afraid I go quite weak at the knees at the sight and sound if it - an unbelievable piece of engineering. My son was in the RAF for twenty two years, as was my late dear BiL. Both very proud of it.

Glad ground crew got a mention, my father would have been pleased with that. Even DH sat and watched the flypast.

The route the planes fly into London is over our house so I sit in the back garden and watch them go past, pure magic !

Blinko Tue 10-Jul-18 14:36:33

Wonderful! I loved it.

Just travelling back from seeing the flypast in the Mall, good natured crowd, lots of oohs and aahs, lots of veterans and RAF personnel selling badges, amazing sounds of the aircraft going over our heads in waves, incredible formation flying . A great experience.

We are watching it on TV now as we went down to Colchester Castle Park to see the planes start to form up. The Red Arrows even gave us a practice burst of colour!

Very emotional, we owe our armed forces so much.

When they formed the 100 in the sky I did shed a tear✈️✈️✈️

Fennel Tue 10-Jul-18 13:54:21

Tears in my eyes too.
Some of us wouldn't be here now if it hadn't been for them.

PamelaJ1 Tue 10-Jul-18 13:51:31

I did see a formation flying over my conservatory on their way. Even that was a bit tear jerking.

Tweedle24 Tue 10-Jul-18 13:49:57

Briught a tear to my eye. Maybe because I served in the RAF for five years but, think it would have done anyway.
Was sad to be able to hear the fly past from here but not be able to see it,
