It was a drama though absent not a historical documentary.

I for one will definitely be seeing the film especially now that we know the original cast are taking part.

I watched the first episode of Downton Abbey on television. It was so full of errors about how such a house would have been run, not to mention how many servants it took to run it, plus mistakes about the language used by the occupiers of the house that I never watched another episode again.

I still love Maggi Smith and quite liked her tongue-in-cheek presentation of the silly snobbish script.

Yes I would definitely go loved the series. Me and the daughters are booked to go to Mamma Mia 2 next weekend can't wait

I will go and see it, am a sucker for all things Downton.
A village near me is where they film Downton Village, it’s lovely, often have a walk round and a coffee there ( it’s called Bampton.)
Haven’t been to Highclere yet ( it’s on my to do list.)

Yes, I'd definitely go. What's the worst that can happen? You don't enjoy it and have wasted the price of the cinema ticket.

I think that is an unlikely scenario. The film will probably be very good.

I loved the series and was sorry when it ended. Thank goodness Edith got her happy ending. I was on tenterhooks when she slept with Michael Gregson because I had a nasty feeling it would lead to an unwanted pregnancy.

I acknowledge that sometimes films of TV series don't work because they take them out of context. Steptoe & Son going to Spain for their holidays is a prime example.
