The birds or the 1970s group Teetime.

I thought the same at first NanKate but surmised that THE Eagles would be the band ??

It's the band. Will tell husband, he loves them. Now can't get "Lying Eyes" out of my head ...

As an aside, we went to a Marc Cohn gig a few weeks ago, at the Union Chapel in Islington. He was terrific! 1000 grey haired (or bald) people singing "Walking in Memphis" and the favourite amongst the men "If there's a God in heaven, he drives a silver Thunderbird". Some artists are just so respectful of their audience, he was like that.

One of my favourite bands.

They have also been on BBC 4 music on the iPlayer

If you get the chance to go and see the Illegal Eagles, do go; they're a brilliant tribute band to the real thing.

Union Chapel is literally round the corner from where H was born smile

DH and I saw the Eagles in concert many years ago at Wembley (stadium). Well at least I assume it was them, we were so far back we could really just see dots in the distance. The music was brilliant though. smile

We don’t have Netflix so couldn’t watch the film you recommended Teetime ?

A real favourite of mine, The Eagles. Great music. I'll look out for this on Netflix. Thanks.

If I hear Hotel California it upsets me, they played it at a friend's funeral, he was only 50.

We saw the Illegal Eagles a few years back, they were great, and then we were lucky enough to see the actual Eagles at the O2. We had good seats and they were fantastic. So glad we managed to see them before Glenn Frey sadly died.

If it is History Of The Eagles it is very good and an eye opener too. Don Felder’s autobiography Between Heaven And Hell is a good read. We always regretted not seeing them live but the DVD of their Farewell Tour performance at Melbourne gets played regularly in our house.
