Well, we have to have a thread each season don't we! grin

Katie Piper was announced on Breakfast this morning. I am full of admiration for her and can't wait to see how she gets on.

merlotgran Tue 09-Oct-18 09:19:19

It's good publicity. There's always a so called romance/bust up/bitchy exchange to keep the viewers alert.

I like Seann in Bad Move.

Nannylovesshopping Tue 09-Oct-18 09:15:03

Well someone’s got to bring it up! I thought Seann and Katya dance was so good, will they stay or will they go?

ninathenana Sun 07-Oct-18 11:10:18

Some amazing performances from the contestants last night.
I do think that sonetimes the pros let them down slightly with their choreography though.

Jalima1108 Sun 07-Oct-18 10:32:10

We watched some of it last night for the first time.
I kept asking DH 'Who's that?'
'No idea' he kept replying.

I did know one or two, Kate Silverton for instance.

As for Claudia - I think she's the highest paid woman in tv - so it's a moot point whether or not she is wasting her Cambridge double first. She is obviously clever enough to negotiate that salary!

Teetime Sun 07-Oct-18 10:15:18

Of all the wonderful film music they chose that lot - terrible!

JuneS Sun 07-Oct-18 10:02:33

I agree with both Nannyloveshopping and merlotgran. The dancing this year is so good that is at the moment hard to put someone in front. The professional dancers are one step above ballroom and are wonderful to watch. Different to the original Come Dancing all those years ago when the ladies all wore those circular and many petticoat dresses. LOVE IT.

merlotgran Sun 07-Oct-18 09:48:21

It's difficult to pick who will be in the dance off. They're all improving.

Nannylovesshopping Sun 07-Oct-18 09:41:05

Loved movie night show, some of the routines were amazing, but Katya’s choreography absolutely took my breath away, so good.

JessM Mon 01-Oct-18 16:13:58

Trinny and Susannah was one of my all-time favourite TV programmes. sad

DanniRae Mon 01-Oct-18 16:09:40

Well said Deedaa!!

Deedaa Mon 01-Oct-18 15:31:57

I've seen Anton with some rubbish partners but this is the first time he's had one so bad that she made him look as if he couldn't dance either! Unfortunately she doesn't have the personality or the humour to get the viewers on her side.

Teetime Mon 01-Oct-18 13:09:41

Susannah seemed to make very little effort - she always seemed to be leaning back and letting Trinny do the work in her own show.

Charleygirl5 Mon 01-Oct-18 12:12:59

I thought that Susannah was very gracious in her defeat. She must have suspected, and Anton known, that they would be first to go.

The young fellow in the dance-off also was really shocked that he was there- maybe he will realise that nobody is safe.

KatyK Mon 01-Oct-18 10:29:58

I wish they wouldn't have the dancers on when the guest 'act' is performing. I love George Ezra and was enjoying his slot last night when those two dancers started prancing around. It makes me cringe.

TwiceAsNice Sun 30-Sept-18 22:56:46

Well Susannah went as predicted. Felt sorry for the other one in the dance off ( senior moment his name escapes me) he was traumatised from the red light I think. Let's see whose next! I thought AJ's routine was ambitious for week 2 it is going to be difficult with lifts I think with his partners disability, thought she looked a bit scared when they were doing them.

petra Sun 30-Sept-18 22:45:12

Not only is it the long live show, then they have to record the Sunday 'live' show.
You know, the one where we are supposed to believe that they all dress up again to be voted on.
Do you know I have met people who actually think this happens grin

JessM Sun 30-Sept-18 21:33:58

Time Anton retired and allowed himself to go grey, gracefully?
I'm a but concerned about Tess. She's such a skilled professional and fully deserved to replace BF. Never put a foot wrong but last night looking tired and not on form. Maybe a virus but could be the dreaded menopause, in which case I really pity her. A very long live show if you happened to be having those all-the-blood-is-draining-from-the-language-centres-in-my-cerebral-cortex hot flushes. sad

DanniRae Sun 30-Sept-18 17:56:07

I must admit that although I LOVE the prgogramme by the end yesterday's episode I wasn't sure if it was still Saturday because it was so l-o-n-g!! shock

Blinko Sun 30-Sept-18 13:32:11

I've given up watching the show on a Saturday till the list becomes more manageable. For now I'll watch the snippets on Sundays 'scores on the board' show.

LullyDully Sun 30-Sept-18 12:39:42

I was wondering if he asked to have a "lame duck " so he could just concentrate on the group dance and have a break .
Rather too many experienced dancers for my liking, though should be interesting watching them battle it out at the end.

ninathenana Sun 30-Sept-18 09:54:41

I think her agony may well be over in tonights voting Petra about time poor Anton got a decent partner.
There are several good celebs this year.
I couldn't agree more about the new pro dancer confused I can't see the attraction.

petra Sun 30-Sept-18 08:56:02

I think the sooner Susannah is put out of her agony, the better. If I was her I would be asking everyone I know to vote me off grin

merlotgran Sat 29-Sept-18 23:08:36

My votes went through even though I kind of make it up at this stage because I don't know who I'm really supporting.

DH suggested I vote for Anton. Not Susannah, just Anton. grin

fourormore Sat 29-Sept-18 22:23:08

Did anyone else have trouble with voting on line this evening? I was all registered with email confirmed etc. but the boxes for voting never appeared!
I'm not too fussed at this stage but even so ...

callgirl1 Sun 23-Sept-18 18:33:21

I loved the show, despite not knowing who half the "celebs" were. I thought the young man from YouTube did a great jive, and the young lady who got the quickstep at the end of the show did very well. Poor Anton has drawn the short straw yet again. Mustn`t forget about It Takes Two on Monday and all week.
