I too dislike the term actor for women. It seems to me we have mixed messages on terminology when aiming for equality. Why is actor correct but chairman wrong ('chair' sounds like a piece of furniture). Headmaster/mistress is now wrong -it is headteacher. But hymns have been changed to remove references to mankind /brethren / brothers which clearly are intended to include women. So why is the masculine form correct for female actors?

Too many implausibles for me in this tale..though I realise it is a tale and has had some great scenes and acting!

I would think that David would himself being closely monitored as a potential 'double agent' ..his ability to get into the hospital and close to where Home Sec was seemed unlikely.. also very low key security at hospital. I echo concerns re the damage from the blank, the fact his wife had to have her uniform on in case we forgot she was a nurse and wondered how she could expertly remove fragments from her estranged husband's head. I missed a bit..have they linked David to the guy who shot up the Home Sec's car?? Still worry for national security if not!

Love it, shame Keely Hawes (excellent actress.....not going to call her actor hate that handle) is out the picture. but as someone else said the writer has form in killing off his lead characters. Big fan of Line of Duty which he writes to.

It's great tv. On reflection, I suspect the KH character is indeed dead. I ddidn't see the long interview with Nadia as overly touchy feely. She's a vulnerable witness as well as someone who failed to set off the bomb she was carrying. I'm sure his work in Afghanistan will have enhanced his skills at getting information from people without torturing them.

The thing about Sunday’s episode that stretched credibility was the fact that he shot himself directly in the head with a blank round and seemingly did no lasting damage. The force of the blank round at that close range would probably have shattered bone if it did nothing else. His injuries were barely noticeable.

I think she is dead - the same writer killed her off in Line of Duty so he does have form re the killing of KH. I think he’s too interesting a writer to use the old chestnut of pretending she is dead when she isn’t.

Just catching up with this. I’m relieved not to be alone in believing the Home Secretary isn’t dead . She’s being protected and kep hidden to avoid further attempts on her life ?. David’s portrayal of PTSD is brilliant. It’s like Line of Duty in confusing us about who to trust
