KILLING EVE

Anyone watching Killing Eve? Think it's brilliant, all actors are very good and story is very gripping. Jodie Comer is very glamorous but obviously psychotic in her quest to kill everyone in her way. It's up there I think with The Bodyguard. Just want to watch the whole series.

omg Martin, I am in love with him.

trisher Tue 25-Sept-18 16:27:59

I saw him first oldbatty sorry!
Sparkefizz only wants him in sequins so she'll have to wait.

I thought it was so good that I downloaded and watched all the episodes and binge watched it - all episodes. (iPlayer - on demand, if you can't wait for the next episode like me!) However, I should have kept it weekly then I would have something to look forward to watching each week as there's not much on at the moment.

He is so attractive in a manly, smelly way ha ha.

Sparklefizz Tue 25-Sept-18 19:48:19

trisher No, out of the sequins would be fine grin blush grin !!!

We started with the first 2 episodes last night.DH hadn't really noticed it was on but reading this forum and seeing the trailers I was intrigued, but also a bit concerned about coping with gruesome scenes.Having reassurance from these posts I suggested we start watching, and so glad we did. It's refreshingly different, and such a good cast.Looking forward to binge watching over the next few days.

OO-er Sparkle shock. I thought it was his dance steps you were interested in!!!

I thought the violence was so graphic that I found it revolting and have given up. I think this type of programe is designed to desensitise. I wondered how low can it go??

Pittcity Sun 30-Sept-18 16:37:36

I have watched it all and found it quite humorous if a bit gory. I'm glad I'm not the only one to fancy Kim Bodnia....if only DH would grow a beard....

We both love Killing Eve, so this is a bit off kilter.
Of those of you who are watching 'Strangers', was I mistaken, or did we see a quick flash of the girl playing Eve in one scene probably in episode 2?

Love this programme, quirky with some very good characters. Dark but not without humour.

We started watching it the other night on catch up and had to watch more!

It's a well told tale and fairly easy to follow (which makes a change from some convoluted dramas) and the subject matter is chilling but fascinating too. The subject matter - a psycopath killing various people in every episode, sometimes two or more, isn't usually my cup of tea, but I became hooked quite quickly.

I am not one for bloodthirsty things but there is also a vein of humour running through it and the acting is very good. *

*Spoiler alert, maybe" Read no further if you have just started the series.

We actually laughed out loud when we heard the thud of her boyfriend falling to the floor after pinching her perfume. The looks on their faces!

And the weird bit when she made her female victim wave goodbye once she'd checked she had no pulse! You really shouldn't be this entertained by something so grisly. grin It's very well made.

Well I’m glad I persevered with this series as so many people recommended it. Just watched episodes 4 and 5 and am finding it fascinating as well as gruesome.

Apologies if this has been said before. The village where the pretty cottage was where the Assasin was looking for the man she was chasing, is the same village where they filmed The Vicar of Dibley. Kept expecting to see Dawn French walk by. It is called Turville in Oxfordshire.

Anyway back to the next episode.

lemongrove Mon 01-Oct-18 20:30:19

Sorry! Only watched half an episode but didn’t like it at all.
Not sure why, yes it was gruesome in places, but mainly it failed to engage me because the main players were so unbelievable ( with unbelievable dialogue too.)

NanKate Tue 02-Oct-18 06:38:12

I felt the same Lemongrove but restarted the series after all the good reviews. The acting is excellent but there is no denying some of the scenes I can’t watch. In days gone by this would definitely have been given an X Rating.

Just watched the last episode and was disappointed with it. The previous 7 episodes had been exciting but very gruesome at times.

notanan2 Wed 03-Oct-18 23:52:39

Nearly didnt watch it, thought it looked rubbish. Loved it.

Heard bad reviews of the ending online but I thought the finale scene was perfect!

Konstantine is so sexy....missed him since The Bridge. He probably isn't dead (hopeful!) - that was probably a lie. Is he the young hacker's dad?

NanKate Thu 04-Oct-18 07:57:28

Yes I liked Constantine too NotaNan. I suspect Villanelle is still alive too.

Bathsheba Fri 05-Oct-18 19:52:57

Sorry, not for me. I watched till halfway through episode 2, but really couldn't be doing with the sick and twisted mind of the killer. Far too dark and gruesome.

PECS Sat 06-Oct-18 09:03:36

I am watching and sort of enjoying it! I think some of the dialogue is great and though the plot feels somewhat unbelievable..who knows..I am not involved inbthe world of espionage! grin

baubles Sat 06-Oct-18 09:15:50

I’m normally not interested in watching anything gory but I somehow got drawn into this. Some of the throwaway lines were so funny! I did feel that it got a bit too silly and I reckon they’ve jumped the shark with the ending which is obviously leading into a second series.

Absolutely fantastic. Jodie Comer always is. Quality telly for a change. smile

KatyK Thu 11-Oct-18 09:42:37

Jodie Comer's acting is fantastic. I don't want to watch as it's so violent, but it's compulsive,

suzied Thu 11-Oct-18 10:08:49

I loved the two female leads, and loved looking at Villanelle's outfits. The gory bits watched through my fingers. Nice having bit of comedy, albeit rather dark - I remember the hot fruitcake! so funny Have finished it now and missing it! Looking forward to series 2.

merlotgran Sun 04-Nov-18 13:41:50

Having watched the last episode I realise I'm mistaken and what I thought was a thriller is actually a comedy programme.

Full marks to the girl playing Konstantin's daughter though grin
