Ray Galton

I read his obituary in the Guardian.
Evidently he contracted TB as a teenager and spent 3 years in a sanatorium where he met Alan Simpson. That's when the collaboration started for the comedy scripts.
Simpson died last year.

soda, The Blood Donor was brilliant, I adored Hancock ,
The Radio Ham, The Last Page, all brilliant

The Blood Donor was so funny Annie still makes me laugh.

No foul language, brilliant humour and dialogue we can remember almost 70 years later.

G and S will be especially missed in Railway Cuttings, East Cheam.

Do any if you remember Joanna Lumley playing Steptoe Junior's girlfriend in one of the episodes ?

Would Steptoe even be allowed to be shown now? Also wrote for Frankie Howerd and Peter Sellers, brilliant partnership with Alan Simpson who died last year.

It's very ageing to say they don't write them like that any more, but they don't!

Heaven must be quite a jolly place these days!
