It isn't even over - 5 minutes still to go. I only watched as long as I did because I was in the middle on a very comfortable sofa and couldn't get up. In the end I did.

Frankly I have never seen more ridiculous portentous cr*p on tv in my life. DD has been amusing herself checking Facebook and Twitter and ours is the main stream trend.

It is DREADFUL

Have now watched final episode. All 3 of us still in the ‘liked it’ group. I felt the last scene, in the prison, with the murderer was unnecessary, boring and didn’t really add much.

Script writing is part of the primary school curriculum! Anyone can do it. Just some do it a lot more effectively than others! Trisher Not sure why you thought I was suggesting one could not make criticisms of a production ..we all have our opinions and different tastes, likes & dislikes! I only watched the first 5 to 10minutes so cannot make further comment other than I was not drawn to this portrayal of Poirot.

I taped this, so only tonight have I started to watch it.
20 minutes was enough, so I was interested to see if my opinion was general.
It was dark ,drear and over acted.
Not for me.

We've just watched it. We put the original story out of our heads and just looked on as a drama. I have to say that we quite enjoyed it. A bit too much arty farty stuff but generally quite enjoyable. DH actually happily watched all three parts with me.

I have watched all 3 episodes and enjoyed it. I found it dark, compelling and I thought Malcovich, or however you spell his name, excellent.

I must admit I do miss the cosier David Suchet versions.
