I had always thought that I would watch everything that included Martin Clunes - how wrong I was.
How could you Martin? You're better than this, man.
Watched Warren with horror, and was saddened by his descent into
banal rubbish.
For God's sake escape while you can.

Very disappointing. Presumably the storyline must have looked all right when he agreed to do it.

I cannot stand Martin Clunes so I did not bother

It was so predictable but there wasn’t much else to watch. Funniest I’ve seen this week is Still Game, now on BBC Scotland.

I knew from the trailer it was going to be rubbish so didn't bother.
He deserves better.

I thought it was so disappointing. The dim-witted female characters straight out of a very bad 70s sitcom, the “LOL isn’t flytipping hilarious?” incident, the clunky script. The sons were just about believable and had some decent lines, but the rest.....

We watched it but won't be watching it again. Some funny bits but most of it too far fetched.

Well I liked it - thought it was very funny! Love Martin Clunes and I think he's such a good actor.

Found it shockingly bad .And I know it's not real life but the fly tipping thing made me furious. Martin Clunes is very talented,and I'm amazed he's even bit involved in this.I'd be looking for a new agent if I was him.

Just watched it. What a load of rubbish! I have cancelled the series recording.

Was looking forward to this.....what a waste of my ten minutes( switched off then) what with the idiot wife and the workshy son and lazy sterotyping and poor dialogue it was a real waste of Clunes talent.

I enjoyed it and thought it quite funny love Martin clones and how diverse he is. Will be watching it again.

Agree that Martin Clunes was rather wasted in this, and really didn’t like the ‘wife’. Thought the boys were quite good, and although we watched all the way through, hope it improves as it goes on.

Another one who found it dire. What was Martin Clunes thinking ? Poor script writing with ideas that are so old and worn out.
It was supposed to be set in Preston, only the wife and friend seemed to have local dialects. Prepared to be corrected on that one.
I won’t watch it again, either.
