Never thought much of the first series but the reviews were so 100% DH decided he must be missing something.

Personally no thanks.

Definitely not for me!

Yes, I thought the first series was excellent. I liked the mixture of comedy, farce and pathos- it is very cleverly written. Enjoyed the first episode of this series too, I thought it was very funny. We don’t all like the same things in this world!

I love it. I think the main character is brilliant and I understand she also is the writer. She also wrote Killing Eve.

DH suddenly decided to start watching this, I really dislike it, especially because the f word is used all the time.

Another vote for Fleabag here too, so so funny, such a talented writer/actor, but then I loved Killing Eve too, roll on next series.

I am bereft, only one more episode of this amazing last
ever series, I have laughed hysterically, sobbed, and
cheered, how often does a tv programme give so much,
Ah well, good job Killing Eve returns later this year.

My daughter has recommended it to me, adding: "It's quite rude, not sure I should be recommending it to my mother!" I am going to give it a try.

Kristen Scott Thomas was magnificent in last week's episode and Andrew Scott is perfect as the sweary, conflicted priest. Brilliant writing and casting.

Love this series, brilliant writing, loved the hot priest and the love- hate sisterly relationship, plus Olivia Coleman.

Deedaa Tue 09-Apr-19 22:58:38

Really couldn't take to any of the characters - except Andrew Scott of course! Did record some bits of him wink

mostlyharmless Tue 09-Apr-19 23:15:47

Flawed complex characters - so well written. Brilliant.

Watched this last episode laughing through my tears. Nothing to touch it on television at the moment for the quality of the acting and writing.

Interesting what a “marmite” programme this was - some loved it, some hated it. I warmed to it more in the second series. Initially I’d thought the swearing was gratuitous and the “asides” to the viewer derivative (Miranda?), but in the second series the characters were excellently portrayed - so vulnerable. Sad it’s the last one, but a wise decision I think, rather than dragging it on, as they do with some programmes.
