Does anyone watch “This farming life “ (BBC2 ) on a Wednesday night?

I’m completely hooked and hopelessly in love with the Dairy farmer Raymond McLean.??

I loved the excitement of the two ladies with their pigs and highland cattle. I admire them all for their devotion to their chosen profession, especially when they have to suffer the devastation caused by negative TB tests. Heartbreaking.

Oh yes me too Greyduster Those pigs were adorable but I think they might end up getting too attached . Likewise those beautiful highland cattle .

I love MARIO the prize bull Teetime I was wondering how many calves he has fathered over the years . I think they were considering selling him after they got the all clear from TB .

Glad it’s not just me who us loving it smile

I love programmes like that, and much as I'm drawn to farming and country life I'd get too attached to all the animals. Years ago there was a programme following a farming family in Yorkshire and the wife had produced 5 children herself and they all joined her in the chores, so rosy-cheeked and healthy.

My own cousin farmed on land in West Yorkshire which was once owned by the Haworth's to which he gained a degree in animal husbandry.

Hard lives at times but they all seem happy and love their work.
Reminder that next episode is tonight and not next week as usual.
