I'm starting this new thread as apparently our other one was over a year old!! shock

We'll have to do more gossiping to prevent this happening again.

Here's a link to the old one.

Oh no! I liked him too. Why must the script writers do this, it doesn't seem in character at all sad

Shrub Mon 23-Mar-20 19:22:30

I had to turn tonight’s episode off. I can’t handle any more nastiness. Poor Kirsty, she deserves a happy outcome for once.

LullyDully Mon 23-Mar-20 19:21:31

Well that was clear. He sounds like a gang master who exploits vulnerable people. What a shocker.

eGJ Mon 23-Mar-20 19:15:36

He is getting nastier and nastier. Kirsty needs a happy ending?

LullyDully Mon 23-Mar-20 07:59:27

If he isn't a baddie then he is very foolish. The truth will out. Poor Kirsty and just when a happy ending was in sight.

eGJ Mon 23-Mar-20 07:36:27

They are reducing the output to five a week, using already recorded episodes. Coronavirus May never reach Borsetshire.

Sparkling Mon 23-Mar-20 07:29:10

Philip is not a good man, whether he is protecting Gavin or not.
Wonder how they will introduce the Covid Virus, they must be a few weeks behind when recording.

Luckygirl Sun 22-Mar-20 22:32:12

Are we to assume that Philip is a baddie, or is he just protecting Gavin?

eGJ Sun 22-Mar-20 20:44:09

Perhaps this is all to make way for Roy and Kirsty to get together. Kirsty has been rather unlucky so far in her choices!

MawB Sun 22-Mar-20 20:39:03

There’s always a “baddie” in The Archers and they take it in turns -we’ve had Brian, Rob, (mind goes blank!) and now apparently Philip?

merlotgran Sun 22-Mar-20 20:13:40

Not if Philip Moss is repairing the shed. shock

phoenix Sun 22-Mar-20 19:49:44

Well, can't book in to Grey Gables, or Ambridge Hall!

Anyone with a sleeping bag prepared to snuggle up with Salieri and Constanza?

merlotgran Sun 22-Mar-20 19:39:22

Sorry about two borings. grin

merlotgran Sun 22-Mar-20 19:38:39

I wouldn't have had Philip Moss down as a wrong un. He's far too boring.

Glad there's a meaty storyline at last as it's been far too boring of late.

Greeneyedgirl Sun 22-Mar-20 19:34:01

You can snuggle up close eGJ there's no virus here.
I'm off for a massage soon with Kate.

eGJ Sun 22-Mar-20 19:03:36

Oh greeneyed that’s you over there; as I’m am staying two metres away from you I wasn’t sure?

Greeneyedgirl Sun 22-Mar-20 17:45:33

Too late MawB. We're full up in Ambridge. Some of us moved in days ago.

We're staying in The Bull grin

MawB Sun 22-Mar-20 12:41:25

I think I am going to move to Ambridge as it would appear to be a CV-free zone.

mumofmadboys Sun 22-Mar-20 12:32:17

No mention of coronavirus on the Archers as far as I know. Perhaps they think we have all heard too much about it.

starbird Sun 22-Mar-20 12:09:42

Just caught the omnibus. Very disappointed in Phil. It will all come out - poor Kirsty I don’t think she’ll forgive him.

merlotgran Fri 20-Mar-20 19:55:07

grin They really must keep up.

Will Susan and Neill be the first to test positive?

grumppa Fri 20-Mar-20 19:52:40

Renaming (again) a pub that's shut won't be much of an event.

eGJ Wed 18-Mar-20 19:48:59

Maw now come on Debbie’s in Belgravia!

They used to put in really topical bits. I can remember a Budget item inserted and Jill said something the night that Diana Princess of Wales died

Greeneyedgirl Wed 18-Mar-20 14:08:04

I suppose if they can't get the cast together to record they will suspend the Archers ? for a while as they are doing with TV series. That will disrupt my routine.
I will really miss regular Radio 4 progs.

MawB Wed 18-Mar-20 10:10:52

I know it is recorded in advance, but where is this year’s West Midlands flooding? Is Debbie affected by the Coronavirus in Hungary and how on earth can Kirsty and Philip still be obsessing about their wedding party?
It is not going to happen .
