Oh wow! I have gone back to episode one and it is so good, so relevant.

Sara65 Mon 15-Apr-19 21:14:27

All my colleagues talk about this non stop, they assured me that it wasn’t necessary to have watched previous series, but I’ve watched two episodes now, and I really don’t know what’s going on, or who anyone is! Think I may have to abandon it

Auntieflo
Covert Human Intelligence Source- CHIS

Iam64 Mon 15-Apr-19 20:26:57

what trisher said - Ted is being set up. Is that awful woman H or someone linked to OCG?
Steve is definitely being set up, you'd have thought his previous experience would have made him more cautious.

Is Kate corrupt? I do hope not, I'm with Ted, they're his best team.

Jed M writes a great script doesn't he. I missed a couple of key sentences last night and may well watch again before next Monday. My fear is Ted will end up in the clink .....

Auntieflo Mon 15-Apr-19 20:25:43

Teetime, the list of abbreviations gets worse each week it seems. Are we supposed to be doing our homework?
This week it was CHIS?? Can anyone enlighten us please?

trisher Mon 15-Apr-19 19:21:08

I think Ted's being set up - money from dodgy sources in his account? But what he's doing with the computer I don't know. Mind you what is he up to inviting her back to his hotel room?

Why has Hastings allowed himself to go down the ‘casting couch’ route, it’s obviously a ploy of some sort.

Surely they aren’t setting up Arnott again as a scapegoat, that is pushing credulity too far.

Interesting series which gets the old brain working.

Charleygirl5 Mon 15-Apr-19 18:55:45

I am pleased to hear it is not only me not really with it 100%. I am pleased I recorded it because I may have to watch it again before Sunday.

Callistemon Mon 15-Apr-19 18:09:30

My DH asked me what was going on - I said if he hadn't nodded off for a few minutes he might know!
(It was better than trying to explain to him)

Teetime Mon 15-Apr-19 17:07:18

I could hear myself sighing through last nights episode at all the speeches that seemed to consist of letters and numbers. I am finding this series to wordy and unbelievable. I may give up or I may ask DH what the hell is going on.

sodapop Mon 15-Apr-19 16:47:08

Exactly my thoughts Hooty

HootyMcOwlface Mon 15-Apr-19 13:10:30

What on earth is Ted up to with that computer?! I hope that chap doesn’t scam him again re that investment, sounds very dodgy!

Farmor15 Mon 15-Apr-19 13:07:30

Discussion in my house last night about meaning of OCG. BBC quiz put me right - thanks for link. Also noticed spelling error in typed response to phone call - might be some kind of clue?

Maggiemaybe Mon 15-Apr-19 11:41:55

tanith, my first reaction was “But surely he’s already dead?”. I was thinking of Hilton. blush

Pittcity Mon 15-Apr-19 11:39:12

Does anyone else think that the Grammar Police (TGP) should be called?
Are "H" and "Haitch" two different people?
The person typing spelt definitely wrong too!!

Nannylovesshopping Mon 15-Apr-19 11:31:59

?me too, thought it was Hastings at first!

tanith Mon 15-Apr-19 11:09:36

I had to google Hargreaves as I couldn’t put a face to the name. ?

Nannylovesshopping Mon 15-Apr-19 10:22:08

Good episode last night, shall have to watch again tho
before next weeks so I know what’s going on?

jeanie99 Sat 13-Apr-19 10:44:06

What a great series, I have watched from series 1 again.
It's a binge worthy series.
It's incredible how this writer weaves a plot so complex you could watch it again and totally enjoy it.

oldgimmer1 Fri 12-Apr-19 09:17:17

I find Gina McKee irritating too, but I think she's good in this.

I've the feeling we haven't seen the last of her - even if she is in bits in a freezer somewhere!

Witzend Fri 12-Apr-19 08:55:18

We're still catching up with series one, with Gina McKee. I usually hate any graphic violence, but I always find her so unbelievably irritating, I was positively glad when she had her threat cut. ?
Will enjoy it even more now?
That is, unless she turns out not to be dead after all....

Callistemon Tue 09-Apr-19 22:50:19

I think we can claim 10 out of 10 as the BBC can't get them all right!

Pittcity Tue 09-Apr-19 16:55:16

I didn't spot that one "Callistemon*, especially as she "has the right to be questioned by an officer at least one rank senior" wink

Callistemon Tue 09-Apr-19 12:08:46

The BBC got one answer wrong Pittcity

Kate is a DI. She ranks above a DS (Detective Superintendent) but below a DCI (Detective Chief Inspector).

I think they mean that she ranks above a Detective Sergeant

Pittcity Tue 09-Apr-19 11:32:21

The BBC have a Line of Duty acronyms quiz .... I got one wrongsad

trisher Tue 09-Apr-19 10:26:41

So the convoy police woman was corrupt-things explained Poor Ted is about to be scammed I think and land himself in trouble trying to get his money back. (traceable serious crime money paid into his bank account?). Steve is out there again will Kate have to rescue him?
