Oh wow! I have gone back to episode one and it is so good, so relevant.

trisher Mon 29-Apr-19 16:02:30

Namsnanny grin
Mind you if your ACO is H please will he hand himself in and let our Ted go free.

Namsnanny Mon 29-Apr-19 15:54:20

Right! Listen up you wee witches!! I want answers and I want them NOW!!

Right! Calling all Gransnetters, I don't understand whats going on in LofD, but I'm sure you do...who's 'H'?

Metadata has been harvested from ACO to suggest UCG hasn't met the criteria laid down in regulation 69ac/dc, section 4 1/2 J, paragraph 100.001, highlighted in orange.
So this is now a code blue.

Information informing me of more detailed information has been gleaned from ACO = 'Ace Cuppa Organiser' (otherwise known as 'H' ubby, in our house). To suggest that the UCG = 'Unique Conversations on Gransnet' are in dangerous territory, i.e. DHAC = 'Don't Have A Clue'.

As you well know, it is my right to be questioned by an officer one rank senior.
I demand said rights and will only speak to Gill Biggenuff.
Who, I may say is PDSA affiliated, DWP federated AND a bonifide member of Age Concern!
As a trusted member of my team she is more than qualified (a 38D in my estimation) to sort this mess out
Ha! Now we're cooking with diesel!

But WTF = 'What The Flippin' heck' does 'H'ubby know, he only watches it for the totty??!!
So as no one here can help, I need someone to 'measure' up to Gill, and organise the clues so I can understand.
Ha! Now we're making sense!

Over and Out, Roger Wilko, Till Next Time, Cuff Him Danno, They Don't Like It Up 'Em (Ooops! sorry got a bit over excited, wrong genre!!)
Mind How You Go!

I will wear a Ted is innocent T shirt but it also occurred to me that it would not be resolved this series. Grrr!

trisher Mon 29-Apr-19 14:45:52

Maybe Ted will get sent down and the last series will be to clear his name. We'll need lots of "Ted is Innocent" t-shirts.

Charleygirl5 Mon 29-Apr-19 14:26:41

We could of course be left hanging until the next series!

Parsley3 Mon 29-Apr-19 14:00:50

I am running out of people to suspect of being H. Poor Ted has got himself into a right mess. However, he has had to cope with his marriage breakup, his wife being tortured, his money worries and also being homeless so I don’t blame him for having a breakdown of judgement. But..... he has also been looking very shifty and I don’t know what to think. I can’t wait until next Sunday.

Maggiemaybe Mon 29-Apr-19 12:46:34

I loved the new boss in town though, DCS Carmichael. Terrifying - she really ripped into poor old Ted, didn’t she?

I do hope she doesn’t turn out to be H and get offed in the last episode.

Maggiemaybe Mon 29-Apr-19 12:40:09

It did cross my mind that the interview Ryan mentioned might be for the police force. shock

And the “time to close it down” message Ted sent to the OCG laptop just before John was killed seemed to me to be aimed directly at Lisa. Though Ted did seem genuinely shocked to hear that John was dead (and I’m still rooting for him smile).

Oh, I don’t know! Next week’s finale can’t come soon enough!

oldgimmer1 Mon 29-Apr-19 11:22:04

I'm glad I was proved right about Jackie turning up again - got something right at least! This paves the way for Ryan to take a bigger role, but as what?

I've got an awful feeling he may turn up as a copper - a bent one? As a kind of Dot-in-Waiting?

Ted seemed to know Lisa didn't he - moreso than just being familiar via the investigation.

Anyone else think that the visitor to the brothel could have been Ted (and not Hargreaves, as it was made to appear)?

And where did the rest of the £100k go? Ted left that package with the money in plain sight of cleaners etc (assuming, that is, that it WAS £100k Moffat gave him.

Big Gigolo is up to no good.

trisher Mon 29-Apr-19 10:50:20

Apparently one theory is that Lisa is the love-child of Tony Gates and Jackie Laverty. Now that takes a lot of imagination.!

tanith Mon 29-Apr-19 10:39:55

I think when it’s finished I might watch the whole lot from the beginning as there is a lot of stuff I’ve forgotten about completely. I sometimes wonder if I must of missed some episodes it’s that bad ??

Charleygirl5 Mon 29-Apr-19 10:02:53

I also wondered how Ted knew Lisa. If she is an undercover cop has she not crossed the line with the brutal killing of John Corbett?

Pittcity Mon 29-Apr-19 09:44:21

One theory is that it's Gill Biggelow....GBH!!

EllanVannin Mon 29-Apr-19 08:26:10

There's bound to be a sting in the tale. Some things are too obvious !

00mam00 Mon 29-Apr-19 08:25:33

Or is H simply a McGuffin? Oh no I hope not shock or I would feel cheated.

Although I can’t wait for next weeks final, what would there be to look forward to on weekend TV when it’s all over?

Pittcity Mon 29-Apr-19 08:13:09

It's so sad that Miroslav died. He's been a baddy since the first series and I quite liked him in a macabre sort of way.

LullyDully Mon 29-Apr-19 07:56:00

How did he know Lisa's name?

tanith Mon 29-Apr-19 06:51:28

I think this whole ‘putting Hastings in prison thing’ is a plan to flush out the real H but quite who’s in on it I’m at a loss to answer. It’s the last one next week can’t wait.

Pittcity Sun 28-Apr-19 22:44:16

So is Hastings H or is Hastings pretending to be H and do they believe he’s H and pretending to him they don’t think he actually is H??‍♀️ ?

oldgimmer1 Sat 27-Apr-19 22:38:42

@namsnanny if you're still around: just remembered about the Balaclava.

It was where the MRSA was found that linked Roz forensically to Tim...MRSA grows in the nose, was deposited on the Balaclava Tim had been wearing and matched to Roz's cut.

Charleygirl5 Sat 27-Apr-19 17:38:25

I cannot see H being a lawyer- I think he/she is a policeman and one with a higher rank than Kate or God forbid, Steve.

Sirius Sat 27-Apr-19 17:32:29

I've been watching some old episodes and I'm thinking H is Gilly Giggalow (I know, wrong spelling). In Season three she tells Hastings that he's made a Big Mistake but it's not The Biggest! Is she getting her own back? Or maybe not. Who know? Who am I, what's happening?

Iam64 Fri 26-Apr-19 12:56:14

Ted is Innocent - I will wear the T-shirt if this series ends without making that clear. Mind you, has any previous series ended leaving us clear about anything much?!

I've seen some grand T-shirts on line with Ted Sayings on them. It's great when the nation comes together over something isn't it. LoD seems to be one of the few things the country agrees on, we may not agree who is Bad/Good/Bent but, most of us anyway, agree this is gripping telly.

Charleygirl5 Fri 26-Apr-19 10:17:44

Luckily I have recorded everything so my evenings have been taken care of. I have to return to before Dot Cotton was killed so I have a few gaps in my knowledge.

trisher Fri 26-Apr-19 10:11:35

Yes it is in the paper there will be a 6th series!!! Does this mean we still won't know who H is? And will we be left thinking Hastings is a baddie? If that is the case I don't think I could stand it. We will need a Clear Ted campaign.
