Well. I thought it was well acted, lively and funny. Hope it keeps up at this pace!

Great! Ann Lister is a woman I admire for her efficiency and responsible attitude even while she suffers from being painfully dumped.

I enjoyed it and look forward to the next episode. So many of you have mentioned the music. I wasn't aware of it at all! blush

I really enjoyed it, all except poor Brigg's leg close up!

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the music.
Fills the Sunday night gap very well!

I lived in Halifax from the age of 10 and frequently visited the Hall and the surrounding Park. The Shibden valley is lovely and lunch at the Shibden Mill Inn sitting outside is a lovely location.

I enjoyed it, especially as I grew up round there and walked past Shibden Hall.
The accents are all over the place ( although that doesn’t really matter) and the coach and horses she drove from Wibsey came to a halt ( from a breakneck pace) as if it was a car.
A good cast, all good actors and a cracking dialogue.

We both enjoyed it. Great for a Sunday night, and I was also 'spotting the actors', and loved the toe tapping music.

I enjoyed it. Love anything Suranne Jones is in. Seismic shift for Gemma Whelan from GOT to this. A very versatile actress, she also played Karen Matthews.

I loved the music too, reminded me of the Peaky Blinders somehow??? confused It looks like another winner for Sunday evenings.

We loved the first episode last night. Particularly liked the music! We visited Shibden Hall last year and they explained to us what furniture had been moved to accommodate the film crew.its an interesting house even without Gentleman Jack as you can see where it was extended (400 years ago).

I enjoyed it, great cast and beautiful scenery. Looking forward to next episode.

maryeliza54 Mon 20-May-19 00:20:49

It’s Shibden Hall in Halifax where she actually lived

I did enjoy the story. The actor spotting, just a sideline. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Really enjoyed it, scenery and acting superb. I think the fact that it is a true story makes it more interesting.

MiniMoon Sun 19-May-19 22:57:51

When we first saw Stephanie Cole DH and I both said, "Mrs Featherstone"!

Luckygirl Sun 19-May-19 22:20:44

Tried to watch it; but carer arrives at 9 pm and is in and out and I always miss most of the 9 pm programmes - which just happen to be the ones I usually want to watch!

GrandmaKT Sun 19-May-19 22:17:11

Loved it! Left me with a smile on my face and looking forward to the next episode.
