Bancroft

I thought the whole thing was really good TV. I wonder if Parish will now take over the prison and be a drug lord from within.

Yes I love Ade Edmonson's character in Eastenders Jane10 so funny yet sad.

We only managed the first episode.

Ade Edmontone is getting a lot of work these days isn't he? He was good in Bancroft but brilliant as Daniel in Eastenders. So naughty but funny.

Umm...

Annabel was already arrested for the murder of her parents I think they had the evidence to convict her. Can’t see that they would be in the same prison but hey it’s tv so anything is possible even Bancroft being able to wriggle out of the charges with the help of Harper.

If there is another series do you think she will prove that Annabel was a killer and they will meet in prison.

Dire.

I didn’t see the first series but I m always up for a good drama however I was bored stiff and after about three quarters of an hour I ditched it

I agree with most of what everyone else has said; far fetched, unlikeable main character, and glad they locked her up, but oh, I had a serious urge to give Ade Edmonson’s character a good kick in the groin!!

Sorry tanith just checked back. Yes, we thought so too. It seems a bit of a Marmite programme, love it or hate it.

A Caitlin Jenner lookalike - yes! I was wondering who she reminded me of.

Didn't watch the first series as not keen on Sarah Parish, but I thought this one brilliant, the last episode scared me to death though, I'm a bit of a wimp with violence.

I thought exactly the same about the strong resemblance to Caitlyn Jenner!!!
As far as the ending it was very poorly executed and a let down
All that drama then this abrupt ending

If this is even remotely based on how the police actually operate, we need to be very concerned!

I agree though, she did resemble a super hero more than a police officer, we weren’t sure who was the more vile character, Elizabeth or Annabel ?

Yes Calendargirl I agree and hope they keep her firmly locked up, never to escape for another series.
I prefer my cops n robbers to have a smidgeon of realism, and this was cartoon-like superwoman on speed. Wouldn't bother watching again.

What a load of bunkum! Bancroft must have been Superwoman, losing blood by the pint, but still able to fight off a couple of youngsters, one with a gun, and also able to run away.
Glad she got her come uppance.

Cornergran did you get the feeling that detective Harper knew exactly what she’d been up toand was capable of and was going to run with it?

Nicely set up for the next series. We both enjoyed this one.

So did anyone else stay with it? I felt it was a bit rushed in the last few minutes, it was a bit of a let down but leaves things open for a return I feel.

Does anyone think that Sarah Parish now resembles Caitlyn Jenner of Kardashian family? (No, I don't follow them but I do keep up with what's going on in the world)

I hadn't seen her before but wondered why she looked odd around the mouth.
Surgical "enhancement" and cosmetic "treatments"with fillers often has this unnatural effect I think.

I did look it up on google and it brought it all back to me. We both said the same about the lips. Why do such attractive women do this to themselves?

I also agree about actresses who have work done on their face. Sarah Parish was very pretty, now she has that shiny, frozen look that so many of them seem to end up with.

Flossieturner

Just google ‘Bancroft Series 1’ and you will be able to see a summary of the first series, which will help you follow this series.
