I love Call the Midwife but I detest this woman so much she was spoiling it for me.
She's offensive and looks as if she could do with a good scrub.

There is a lot of crude smut about. The much lauded Fleabag comes to mind. Oh and Gervais at the Baftas.

If you had asked me who was in it, I would not have remembered her!!
This doesn't mean she can't act, but in question why such crudity is supposed to be acceptable in old women but not old men, or any men for that matter?

Do you think going on a chat show and asking other guests if they've had their foreskin removed is acceptable for anyone to ask at any age? Unless it's a medical discussion?

If she wants to chat about her own sexuality, fine, but interrogating someone else about theirs on TV is rude and intrusive and done deliberately to make others feel uncomfortable.
The days of her being a slightly mischievous woman have gone and she is lewd and rude and quite perverted.

Oh no I'm not for old ladies sitting in corners knitting. I'm definitely not that sort of old lady and good for Miriam for not being either. I just thought what she said on Graham Norton was a bit over the top.

In fact - not just on telly. Talking about farting in public is something my almost 13 year old grew out of a few year ago.

While they’re on telly and it’s not relevant to the situation, yes. Others manage to - including other old ladies.

MM has always been coarse ( in every way!) Am always surprised that she gets invited to go on shows, but suppose they are hoping for the coarseness to pop out and that’s why.
She does wear odd looking dresses, as if she’s going into the garden to do a bit of ‘composting’ ?

She can be funny and comes across as caring but she takes her 'no filter' chat too far (in my opinion).

I think the American documentary was where she went to a very religious family and announced - as they opened the door to her and welcomed her warmly - that she’d just farted on their doorstep. It was really unnecessary I felt - even if she didn’t agree with their religious beliefs.

She seems to play the same character in whatever she appears in and I hate her in reality shows where she makes everything about her. She did a series of documentaries in which she travelled over America and met lots of different people from all walks of life and was very good in that. She does seem to favour short dresses, trainers and socks for every occasion, not a good look for her.

I found MM so disgusting when discussing male hygiene on Graham Norton that I immediately turned it off.
I think she is an awful person - I certainly won't watch her again

My favourite guest is Michael Caine who always has a good story and is so interesting and easy to talk to. The most difficult guest is Harrison Ford, who is a real struggle to open up.

The only reason any of them are on a chat show is to publicise their latest book/film/TV show.

It is not for their wit or entertainment value.
They 'do the rounds'.
It us pure publicity at the licence payers' expense.

Do they get paid on top of all that free advertising?
